So. I was pissed with everything so I decided to open up my wattpad account because I suddenly remembered I have one. It is a miracle that I was even able to pull out my username and password from my obviously cluttered mind and my frail memory was able to mummify it after all. Just saying I was having a bad day for nothing in particular and I am now ranting these all to you. Oh, and by the way, nice thread. |

Abiut the dialect: you're on the right track. It's like, if your character is "old-timey," using things like "ye," "thus," etc. Or if they're suthern: "howdy," "tonic," etc. Using this sparingly is dumb. It helps the reader know how they speak! Although, if it gets out of hand I guess it could be confusing. @Archleone |

@worldclass Thanks for your tip. Went to your website. Thought POV article was informative. I still struggle with POV issues. |

@BitsBitesBooks: No problem! I'm glad you found it informative :) Yeah, POV is a little difficult simply because sometimes you're so set on putting what you want the readers to see out there that you don't really think about sticking to one method. |

@connie_sarah - it's really simple! Apostrophes are used to contract words. It could be "It is" to "It's", "You are" to "You're" or "They are" to "They're" as well as many more! If you can write the sentence with "it is" and it still makes sense, then you can use "it's". If you're saying something belongs to something else, then you use "its". For example: It's: "It's cold outside." can also be "It is cold outside." "It's not very good." can also be "It is not very good." Its "Its face was long." cannot be "It is face was long." "The baby ate its food." cannot be "The baby ate it is food." Just ask yourself if it makes sense to say 'it is' and if it doesn't then use 'its' :) Hope this helped! :) |

I have got lots of plots and ideas which can turn into thousands of books of almost all the genres but I can't seem to be able to write any. My doc says I've got some attention problem which affects my patience with things. but I want my stories to be read. please give me some advice. |

@asinloveavi : you can always try a partner story? I don't know if wattpad supports a story by multiple authors, if not you can always coordinate via email with someone and figure it out. Anyway, if you write half the story (or at least until you get bored) and the other person writes the other half, that may solve your problems. I'd be down for it, maybe :) |

The video is super cool. Any help offered is help devoured by me. I am always up for improving my writing and listening to what others have to say. Sometimes though it can be so challenging. |
