No its not but thanks anywayz ill give u the description if u come upon it

He kissed his way down my neck and along my collarbone, his fingers trailing over the skin of my back. I hadn't realized he was leading me, but the bed was up against the backs of my thighs. Bastian pushed me back onto the bed, keeping his feet on the floor as he leaned over me. That was the moment that took my breath away. Up until this point, I'd been focused on sensations and feelings. I hadn't really looked at Bastian because, well, it had been dark. Here in the dim light, I could see him.

@PENGUINS888 I searched for a long time, she may have stolen that one from a different site or changed some details, that one I can't find

Plagiarism is a thing all authors are scared of, but it's the flip-side of publishing your work on the internet and opening up to criticism. Of all the writing sites I've been on, Wattpad is probably the best when it comes to protecting people's work.

However, it is necssary to distinguish between plagiarism (passing someone's work as your own), copyright infringement (Publishing large sections of someone's work, while giving proper accreditation, without their permission) and borrowing storylines. A lot of story can come out looking quite similar, simply because they are based on the same original stories.

@AllyInFrench I know what plagiarism is, the girl I was speaking on STOLE verbatim someone else's story and said it was hers. A lot of people share the same plot, which isn't stealing, but when you copy the whole set up, that is

@loulourox_25 I don't know, I do know who wrote Sleeping w/ the Enemy, and I could give you a link to that story, but the My Husband one I can't find, she might've stolen it from a different site than the rest

I've come across people stealing my crap... It's infuriating, yes; AND REALLY ANNOYING.

The worst one I ever came across was this one where a girl one day pm'ed me. And told me that she read the same book of mine, he was cool, on another site. A fan site in where you have to go through this FKED UP process that took two days. Basically to enter you needed to know specifics.. And since it was a fan site it was like a question like, "What's _______ favourite day in febuary?"

Something like that... When I got in which was thanks to youtubes help and people commenting the answer. I found my story which had 46 chapters. She changed the names of my characters, but basically took the time to type out each chapter of mine...

I laughed my ass off when I found out it was one of the most popular stories, but even more angry at how she could do this? I tweeted her and basically sent me an essay of how sorry she was.... T_T

The site took it off and was deeply sorry that happened. I was too angry to get into too much detail and basically let it alone afterwards. I was shocked at how low key the site was though. You can't even google it, you have to enter the url.....

Its not fun and basically those people who take the time to steal other peoples shit basically have enough time to think up their own original shit. Simple...

@loulourox_25 I posted it in this thread somewhere (:

@Ari3ll3 *coughs* I'm just going to throw in the fact that I feel the same way about fan fiction, to me that is a form of plagiarism and it's pointless for people to write them *cough* Yea, I'm sorry that happened to you, I had a girl fan me, love my book, dedicate a story to me, which was a ripoff of mine. -_- I literally cried b/c she hadn't stolen verbatim, but she took the whole set up and scenes and ideas. But she was nice enough to delete it when I PMed her about my discomfort w/ it. People want fame, in any way they can get it, so if they have to steal some story on a writing site, they will

    @whitney_dg

I hate plagiarists. My series of books have gotten really popular recently, and now people are making their own versions by changing character names and adding my storyline to their books. It's awful because my stories are so original and now they're not going to be :@

@loulourox_25 Yea I saw that she was here and thought about this thread, good idea!

@Monst3rs That legit sucks, one of the pitfalls of posting online. I would delete my story from the site, but I do want to read your book, so maybe not delete it but report the thieves

It really does suck but what really gets me is when people steal other works from published authors and get off getting a publishing deal. Like Mrs. Mead's Vampire Academy some other lady named Jennifer L. Armentrout copied everyting from VA in to her Covenant series. It scares me that someone can steal my work and publish it as their own because I haven't got the actual copyright and that cost $150 to buy something I made up in my mind. So stupid.

In school when I was younger there was a girl who always used my cute ending to my essay in English in the next one we wrote!

Once I ended with "Toodles! I've go to go! My BFF is calling" The next essay topic was Writing a Public Speech. She ended with "Ta Ta! I need to leave now! I have a public speech to write!" It disgusts me!!!!!!

@Writing-Riot That is annoying, one of the reasons I'm so against fan fictions is because I hate the idea of being copied, people should just be themselves and not take from anyone, even if it's a little bit.

@XxXTwixXxX I actually want to read some of Jennifer's books, not from her Covenant series though. And you're so right, it is scary that people can steal and profit off of it
