Just answer the above question and why you believe so. I'm curious to see where this goes. You are free to debate, BUT any offensive context (swearing) is not welcomed. Keep it as civilized as possible. All rules apply to me too x) |

I don't believe in any god, but I'd find it strange that Jesus would be God if God sent him, according to the Bible. |

I'd be curious how'd he do that. That's like Santa being at multiple locations. |

@TheLocalGuerilla Well I don't think Santa could be compared to God... |

I didn't compare him to god at all, just saying it could be the same situation. |

@TheLocalGuerilla Yeah, I actually have no idea how Jesus could be God. I, personally, don't believe that Jesus is God. But God does exist. |

I may seem bizzare for saying this, but I find it very unlikely that one man, no matter how miraculous his existence may have been, possesed divinity within him. To use a quote from Kanye: "No one man should have all that power". Just think about this for a second. No man can resist certain temptations. We all seek to 'purify' the world in some way or another. We are a warlike, hateful, species, such is our very nature. If a man had the power of a God, it would seem very likely he would abuse his power in a way that would coz a massive genocide, killing thousands, millions, potentially wiping out entire CONTINENTS just to get his point across. Now, I am not refuting, accepting, or denying that Jesus is/was/can be a God, but all I'm saying is that Man cannot, should not, EVER come into possesion of that power, because it WILL mean the end of the world. This exact statement also proves why proof of the existence of God is left in such feeble things. Douglas Adams said that "Proof denies faith, and without faith [i am] nothing." This is probably only a partial truth. The other truth is that Man does not desserve proof. Until we can learn to live in peace, the power of a God should not touch us. Now, let's go praise some Daedric Princes or something! Hail Sheogorath! XP |

@DanGil You should not compare God to man. God is not human. He does not think like us, act like us or any of the sort. We are just his creations. If we were to create something, let's say, a watch. Does that necessarily mean that we are like watches? Maybe an alien picks up the watch and has never seen us, he could assume that we are the Lords of time. and we're not. Now that I reread your comment I realize you were talking about Jesus **scratches neck awkwardly** I should definitely do one club at a time. So you don't believe Jesus was God, or do you? -_- I thought that you would've made up your mind by the end of that speech. |

@Freezing_Fire I believe Jesus is God. And one thing is for sure that He came to this world to show that He truly loves us because He made Himself one of us. So that in time, no one can say "why? are you there for me when I have problems? Where you once an outcast too? Do you really love me?" Because He can always answer "Yes, I was there for you, but you did not open your heart to me. Yes, I was once an outcast when I came to this world, for many rebuked and questioned me. Yes, I do love you, because if I don't, I would never had come to this world, and died for your sins." Plus, when Paul, who is a very God-loving and righteous man, had been kneeled upon by numerous people, he said "get up, for I am only a man, and we should only worship the Lord our Father." But when Jesus, who is Paul's and Peter's mentor, was kneeled upon by the apostles, He did not falter, for He is the Son of God, and part of God Himself, |

@JCDelaCruz So during that time, who was running the errands "up there"? How can a God die?! Can a God, an almighty God die?! So you are saying, that God needs to come down here, and die for us, to show his love. He created us! Isn't that enough love? Ahh, but you see. There was also a part, when Jesus was bowing down to his lord. What?! Bowing down to his lord?! Isn't he the lord? So logically, he is bowing down to himself. Isn't God all Knowing? Is Jesus all Knowing? No. He was not. If he was all knowing, he would have known the Jews were after him. There was also a part in the many verses of the many bibles, that said Jesus was hungry (a God should not feel hunger) so he saw a fig tree in the distance, he went to the tree and saw that it was not the season for figs. Jesus seemed quite lacking in knowledge. So if he was all knowing, he would have known that it was not the season for figs. According to Christians, we are all children of God, therefor we are all part of God. Just like Jesus right? Jesus was a son of God. So are we. Hence, we are all Gods! Has Jesus ever specifically said, "I am God, worship me" ? No. If that is truly what he meant. He could have just stated so clearly. Peter also addressed the crowd with the eleven disciples, "Men of Israel, listen to this: Jesus of Nazareth was a MAN accredited by God to you by miracles, wonders, and signs, which God did among you through him, as you, yourselves know." Act (2:22) It was God, therefore, who did the miracles through Jesus to convince people that Jesus was backed by God. Peter did not see the miracles as proof that Jesus is God. |

Isn't God all powerful? Jesus is not. Mark tells in his Gospel that Jesus was unable to do any powerful work except few things: "He could not do any miracles there, except lay his hands on a few sick people and heal them." (Mark 6:5) Mark also tells us that when Jesus tries to heal a certain blind man, The man was not healed after the first attempt and Jesus had to try a second time (see Mark 8:22-26) therefore, although we hold great love and respect for Jesus, we need to understand that he is not an all Powerful God. |

Jesus is really God. The only reason God created Jesus was for Jesus to take our punishment for our sins. He was beaten, and tormented, and he died on that cross, to show he really loved us and wanted to be with God when we died. 3 days later, he rose from the dead. It was so sin wouldn't separate us from God. And sin does. That's why we need to confess our sins and ask God for forgiveness, so when we die, we'll be in Heaven with God. I was raised in church and my grandpa is a preacher. It's the truth, whether you believe or don't believe. I hope if you haven't accepted Jesus in your heart, you will. |

@Freezing_Fire HE IS GOD! HE IS A MAN DURING THE TIME HE WAS HERE, AND MEN DIE. Jesus was the SON OF GOD. So, if you have a son, do you mean that your son is also you???? (LOL) God did create us, and that's one way of showing His love. But then, many of us do not see that, and still we worship other FAKE GODS (no offense to pagans) but (John 3:16....you read the Bible, right?) For God SO LOVED THE WORLD, that He gave HIS ONLY SON, on earth. And to save us from God's anger and wrath to us, because we continue to sin (God is like a parent, and like parents He punishes us from our sins.) Jesus gave his earthly body, and was beaten, slaughtered and nailed at the cross :( He did that for us (and I am proud of it) because He did not want us to go with Satan. And Jesus did not die, He still lives, and many disciples (who are of GOD) witnessed it. Also, He lives in YOU, that if you are tempted to sin, just remember what He did at the cross for us. Plus, if Jesus runs away from the Jews, then His task on earth would not be fulfilled. He is ALL- KNOWING, but God does not use Knowledge, BUT WISDOM. |

@Freezing_Fire We are all sons and daughters of God. And we are all of GOD, but then, you forgot the happening in the Garden of Eden where ADAM AND EVE were tricked by Satan. And all of humankind was being devoured by evil. Luckily, when Jesus came to earth, and when He died for us, He took us from evil, and gave us back to our Father. So, in wise discussions, we are all Kings and Queens of this earth, but since (even after the time of Jesus) we continue to sin and praise fake Gods, we are still unworthy to be of quality. Jesus speaks in riddles (have you read the bible???) but, we are so accomodated with KNOWLEDGE that we forgot being Wise to understand what is He saying. And for all I know, Jesus portrayed Himself as the Humble side of God, and He would never say "hey, you, bow down to me, because I am God." and if He did say that, the people will also not believe, they will say, "oh, blashpemy" or "ah, he's tricking us." |

@Freezing_Fire It's true that in Acts 2:22 said that, but you did not reaed on, dude, because in Acts 2: 36, Peter also stated the words: "Therefore let all Israel be assured of this: God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both LORD and Messiah.” God made Jesus first as HIS SON, ALSO GOD, whom we deny and rebuke. Jesus cannot HEAL IF THE PERSON HE HEALS HAS LITTLE FAITH. The example you used on me about a blind man not getting healed is not Jesus's fault. The blind man has little faith in his God, so he was not healed immediately. I hope my statement would be of help to you. I answered all of your questions, and you must know that we, normal people, cannot tell also, for we are just PEOPLE. Who are we to question God's ways, for we did not even live for that long. |

@Jessalyn_2124 God created Jesus. This sentence alone shows that Jesus is not God. A God is not created. How can a God, create another God? Please explain that. The only reason God created Jesus is to pass on the message about God and teach people how to worship God. It's sad that his teachings are misinterpreted as such. You make God sound so horrible, he sent a poor man to be punished for YOUR sins. Where is the justice in that?! God is just! God is fair! If he was so fair, then why would he send his only son to be punished for what YOU did? How would Jesus feel if he knew that that was what you thought of his purpose? Again, how can a God die? If Jesus was God, he wouldn't die. I have accepted Jesus into my heart. But I will not accept him as God. Ever. Because that is a blasphemy to God himself. I hope you accept that there is no God but God, and that he cannot be paired with others. And that Jesus Christ was a respected, loved and honest Messenger. @JCDelaCruz |

@Freezing_Fire Then would you kindly explain to me the verse in the BIBLE which said: ""Let US make man in our image, in OUR likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground." Tell me who is God speaking to. And don't tell me they're the angels. You see, even in the first book of the bible, God already tells us of the Holy Trinity; the Father, THE SON, and the Holy Spirit. |

Jesus did not die? Really? You clearly stated that Jesus died for our sins, yet now you're saying that Jesus didn't die. Just like the Bible, indicating that Jesus is God, then stating that he isn't. Tell me your reasoning for the "Fig tree". I'd like to hear it. So God is stupid? He doesn't know anything? God CREATED the Earth. He created the Fig tree! Yet he doesn't know when the figs pop up. To be wise you need to have knowledge. So now we are being blamed for what Adam and Eve did? Does a God blame others for what they did not do? That is injustice. And God is just. So we are all devoured by evil, because Satan tricked to completely different people. He never took from us no evil. There is evil! Everywhere! Hitler! Slavery! Abortion of innocent babies! That is evil, it's still there. So Jesus is the humble side of God. And God is the kid throwing the tantrum, isn't just, has a big ego. Right. That's very twisted. Since God created Jesus, therefore God has to be better. No, he shouldn't say "hey you bow down to me, because I am God." He could clearly state, "I am God, worship me." And if you all love Jesus so much, you won't say, "oh blasphemy," or "ah he's tricking us." If Jesus was God. He could heal whom he pleased. Whether the guy worshipped him or spat in his his face. So you are saying, that God relies on OUR faith, for him to be powerful. We're the ones who need him. Not the other way around. |

@Freezing_Fire PLEASE READ THE POST, PLEASE!!!! JESUS IS A MAN WHEN HE CAME TO THE EARTH, A MAN WHO CAN BE WEARY, POOR AND CAN DIE!!!!! And if you have a son, what would be the proper words for him to be brought here on earth? Of course you created him. It would be improper for God to GIVE BIRTH! (LOL that made me vomit). There are SO many answers in the post (READ) Jesus LOVED US, and in order to show HIS LOVE FOR US is to die for US! How great is HIS love. I agree with @Jessalyn_2124 Jesus is truly God, and I am proud to call Him that. (We would only know all of this things in the end. So when the final judgement comes, you may look upon Jesus in the eyes and ask Him yourself.) |

@JCDelaCruz How about you explain this more CLEAR and obvious verse: "Father...this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus whom You have sent." (John 17.3) So Jesus tells the Father that he is the only "True God" And then distinguishes himself from that One God. Also, this man sincerely asked Jesus, "Good teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?" and Jesus said to him, "Why do you call me good? No one is good except God alone." (Mark 10.17-18 /Luke 18.18-19;cf. Matthew 19.16-17) Finally, the heavenly Jesus is quoted five times saying, "My God." (Revelation 3.2, 12;cf. 1.6) |

@Freezing_Fire if you were a parent, would you have the power to come close to your son IF he constantly tries to get away. And I did not say God is stupid, dude that's the worst blashpemy ever. We need to have Faith in Him. So your saying that, "yeh, I believe in God." where the fact that your heart does not stick to Him but the materials here on earth. WE NEED TO HAVE FAITH! I did not say that God needs Faith in order to heal us. NO, THEN HE IS NOT GOD. WHAT THE HELL??? Jesus came to earth to represent God's Love, and that He is the representation of God's love for YOU. Aren't you proud to have a loving God????? I also said that Jesus speaks in riddles, God also speaks in riddles, which is one way of proving that Jesus is also God. We need to have Faith in everything we do, and Jesus also came to this world to show us how to live and act. You can never do anything if you have no faith |
