A suggestion was recently made by @Andrew_Mosier on the @ForbiddenPlanet profile... a damn good suggestion I might add! It's also something that @Narivah and I have been toying around with... so here's what I propose... A collection of short Sci-Fi stories to be self-published, none-profit, through www.lulu.com - check out the site if you're unfamiliar with it. There's no cost whatsoever, other than the cost price of the actual book! A writer for each sub-genre of SF (with the possible exception of Hard SF, unless there's anyone who knows enough about actual science to make such a story work). Each person writes a short story within their chosen sub-genre... no word limit but keep it sensible. It must be an original story though, written specifically for this collection. As the collection is to be published, each entry must be edited... now I for one know how difficult it is to edit your own work so I propose that one or two people edit all submissions. So what are you waiting for? Full credit will be given to each author/editor... your name and/or work in print for all eternity... sounds good, eh? The list posted below is all SF sub-genres and the name next to a given sub-genre denotes the author who has chosen it.. that's right it's first come, first served... so let's see how much interest we have, and go from there! I'm not putting a time limit on this... not yet anyway and it isn't a competition... |

@AngusEcrivain Do we have to write a new story? Because I already have a Sci-Fi Short Story that I would love to enter :) |

That's something that perhaps should have already been decided... I think that it should be a completely new story though I'm afraid. :) |

Okay, so a few questions. Can only one person do one genre out of the whole list above? Also can we do combined works with another author and receive equal credit between the two? |

Yeah... one story per genre, else we could easily end up with several Military SF stories, for example. As for two authors working on the same story together, that is completely your call. Of course, both writers will receive credit :) |

@AngusEcrivain Oh, I don't know if one of the others would want a hand at that one. I might write a short story on another genre, though. |

Yes please! Maybe put down Lunadreamrealm as well since she might be interested in working with me on that genre. |
