Looking for other first time NaNo participants (:

Hey thereeeee. (: I'm am going to attempt this NaNoWriMo thing for the first time. I'm currently writing another story, but I'm lacking motivation for that so I'm thinking this might help my motivation to write return.

Anyways, I'm just looking for other people who are trying this for the first time to talk and whatnot. (:

@itsholliex I think you have to enter your story (scrambled, if you'd like) to the NaNo site at the end of the month so they can verify your word count.

@anti-realistic I'm new too, I did JulNoWriMo back in July but I failed miserably. This is my first time NaNoWriMo-ing and I'm determined to get to at least 50k!

@LilButterfly Nice! The current story I have on here is only 33,000ish words, and that took me three months sooo. ;D I'll have to write faster.

@InsipidLives I wish I didn't have to plan. ;D I have an idea, but not a fully developed plot so I need to think a bit more. xP

I started today too, with an idea I have had bouncing around in my head for awhile. The thing I like about the nanowrimo site is that once you have entered your word count it figures up how many words you need each day to reach the 50,000 word goal, and it also tells you at the rate you are going when you will most likely finish. Totally worth registering for! I am going to post what I have so far in a bit. :)

@alwolf1 Cool. (: Yeah this idea popped into my head a couple weeks ago, actually. I had no plans of putting it down on paper until I decided earlier this morning that I was going to attempt this. I signed up earlier and I am so excited now. :D I'm hoping to at least have something done tonight so I don't fall behind, but I'm the kind of person that needs to plan at least half of it before I can start. x.x But good luck!

I think I'm going to wait so that I can really be free to do whatever I want-- including going back and changing things along the way xD I do have a tiny (noncommittal) excerpt up though, if you want to take a look ^^

@anti-realistic I like the fact that they enourage you to just write, and emphasize quantity over quality! lol It is so easy to get caught up in the fine details and editting before you have real gone anywhere with your story. I think the more that you write, the easier it flows! My goal is to build better writing habits and gain momentum. I am posting my Nano story, and will go back and rework it when I am done- hopefully by November 30th! Good luck.

@alwolf1 Yeah I like that as well, but I think that's what will be hard for me. I'm the kind of person that thinks about nearly every sentence before I write it down. If I read it back and it sounds even slightly off, I'll delete it and stare at the screen for the longest time to try to think of the perfect sentence. Good luck to you too!
