Hi! I'm Mariah or you can call me Kylie. I'm a converted muslim. I'm actually puerto rican and I started this discussion to communicate with other muslims on wattpad. So, I'm just going to ask a question and you can give me your honest opinion: What do you think is the best part about being Muslim? |

@ReaperKylie I think that the best part about being a muslim is that you always have Allah with you where ever you are and He is always watching you. One Q. If you don't want to answer thats fine. Why did you become muslim? I'm not saying it ni a rude way if you understand. Just a curiosity. You don't have to answer if don't want to. |

@ReaperKylie I am Christian and believe in God and Jesus. I also know that Allah and God are the same. I know that Muslims believe that Jesus was a prophet, not the Son of God. However, similarities are present in our religions. I do not see why people think otherwise. How are you? I would like to know as well... why did you become Muslim? I think the best part is having Allah/God with us at all times. |

@ReaperKylie Hi there and Asalaamalaikum =D I'd like to congratulate you on taking up Islam and believing in Allah. inshAllah you'll benefit from this change and teach alot of the people along the way. I've noticed converted muslims are better at being muslim than the ones born in to the religion, maybe 'cos we take it for granted or forget about the value of having a religion to begin with. Nontheless it always amazes me to know someone has converted , i get to learn alot through people like you :) @SecretMae i agree with you. Allah and God are the same, God with nay other name is still God and One. HE is our strength and the power that drives the world. Muslims cannot deny Christianity cause we believe Prophet Essa / Jesus to be a messenger of God. So his word is still the word of God however what we also believe is after Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) was sent with the Quran, Allah had made it a finality to follow through with the teachings of our last prophet. Cristians and muslims have more in common than people think, 'cos one way or the other they are both derivatives of one another. in the end what everyone should know is that we have ONE God/ Allah and he keeps us altogether in peace. The violence and differences are all man made. |

Hello and assalam alaikum. Ramadan Mubarak. It's nice to meet all of you and read all your comments. I became muslim when I was a little girl, but I used to be christian. I don't really remember all that much about christianity. Islam has really been the only religion I ever knew. I converted because I had no choice really. I was forced to, but that was okay, but now that I compare Islam with all these other religions, I can't really say I believe in anything else but Islam. Being a muslim has made me who I am today and I am so thankful to Allah for showing me the right way and you are right, SecretMae. God and Allah are the same except we worship him differently. *sigh* If only people weren't too ignorant, they'd know this and wouldn't be constantly fighting about which religion is right or not. The best part about being Muslim, personally, is the fact that Allah is always there watching you and guiding you and I am so grateful because I don't feel alone and through all the discrimination and hardships I face, I always remind myself that God is with me and the things that happen to me happen for a reason. @MiaCat @SecretMae @StoryGirl5169 |

Hmm, to me the best thing about being a Muslim is that the religion is so perfect it makes me happy and feel safe. It guides me with every aspects of life not only through iman(faith) but also through fiqh which teaches me what to do on different conditions. Islam is not just a religion, it is the way of life. |

@SecretMae You are completely right. And the religions themselves are like chapters, finishing off where the last one left. Like first there's Adam, the Moses (Judaism) then Jesus (Christianity) and then Islam. And people don't like admitting this fact, but even our basic principles are similar. @ReaperKylie @StoryGirl5169 @MiaCat I think my favorite part of being a Muslim is knowing that if you ever have a question you can get their answers easily from the Quran and that you have role model to look up to, whose life is fully preserved from the get go. |

@ImBatman420 I have thought of it like that before. In Christianity The Old Testament was first and the New Testament was second. My thoughts are that the Quran went in there somewhere too. I actually own a lot versions to bibles. New Testament, old testament and Quran. I even have a Mormon bible. lol |

@SecretMae That's interesting. I've actually read the Bible. Not all of it. But some. And it's quite similar. |

In Islam actually, the Quran is supposed to cover everything that the bible covers and prove wrong the differences because we believe that the bible was changed to satisfy some of the romans (the ppl who changed it) who didnt agree with what god was saying. It also covers the part about Jesus too. It explains the crucification of "jesus christ." Allah says that Jesus survived. The person who was crucified was created by Allah to look like jesus and take his place in the punishment. |

@ReaperKylie quote Surah(Chapter 4) An-nisa verse 156 to 159 And because of their (Jews) disbelief and uttering against Maryam (Mary A.S. ) a grave false charge (that she has committed illegal sexual intercourse); (156) And because of their saying (in boast), "We killed Messiah 'Īsā (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary), the Messenger of Allâh," - but they killed him not, nor crucified him, but the resemblance of 'Īsā (Jesus) was put over another man (and they killed that man), and those who differ therein are full of doubts. They have no (certain) knowledge, they follow nothing but conjecture. For surely; they killed him not [i.e. 'Īsā (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary) A.S.]: (157) But Allâh raised him ['Īsā (Jesus)] up (with his body and soul) unto Himself (and he A.S. is in the heavens). And Allâh is Ever All-Powerful, All-Wise. (158) And there is none of the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians), but must believe in him ['Īsā (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary), as only a Messenger of Allâh and a human being],[] before his ['Īsā (Jesus) A.S. or a Jew's or a Christian's] death[] (at the time of the appearance of the angel of death). And on the Day of Resurrection, he ['Īsā (Jesus)] will be a witness against them (159) |

wow didn't think someone would could call all muslims on wattpad lol. and same here I find it fascinating when someone converts to islam, and i find that converters take islam more seriously and are better muslims because to you everything you learnt of islam is new so you obey it all the time, with us it isn't its been with us for generations so we tend to slack on the commands of God. best thing about Islam? When you need guidance or ur confused, it's all there everything makes sense once you understand why everything is happening today. and having that faith really gives you hope, i guess that's the same to every other religion :] |
