Kate Fisher’s future doesn’t look bright. The most attractive Asian in Taiwan is following her, and not because he wants her number. She might have uncovered a government secret, and since she lives in a world where the government controls how long you have to live, her days are numbered – literally. And the blue number on her wrist? That indicates her age? It’s blinking brightly, unlike the dull sheen it normally is.

Not to mention that she’s just been kidnapped in a foreign country – and she left her cellphone back in the apartment.

Things are definitely not looking good.

Cyberpunk meets Steampunk.

Adrian Sordy is an eccentric genius, with more explosive failures behind him than he can count. When he attempts to contact his future self to arise from the ashes of the past, his invention once again is faulty, and instead of a nice phone call, he accidentally pulls out Aqua Lemon - a girl from a parallel universe run by computers - straight into his basement.

Bewildered and confused, Adrian fails to make sense of why Aqua has appeared. However, Aqua hides a past of which she does not dare to remember herself. Now they have to race against time to get her back into her own reality, before the foundation of their very existence shatters.

But, her challenge is made only more difficult with the appearance of the Silent Alchemist, a girl her age who has seemingly otherworldly abilities with atoms. The brother of the young Alchemist seems to recognize Riyas from somewhere, and possibly has his own secret agenda that concerns her.

Unfortunately, he isn't the only one.
