@AslanHarika who can read erotica if it is rated R? Cos I have submitted a story rated R and my friend says she can't see it.

@AndySixPadackles I belive users over 18 can search rated R stories, however, these stories are automatically relegated to Private, so in order for your friend to read this, he/she has to be both over 18, and a fan of you :)

hi! i'm totally new here (LITERALLY joined less than an hour ago). so um, MY question is: is there an alert system? like, if i've added something to my library, so i get an email notifying me when the book's updated? also, how do i tell if a book is complete or in-progress? it's a bit silly to ask this, but will i get an alert if some replies to this post of mine???

Hey was wondering how you vote for people.. I have loads of votes on my books and have voted for a few books as well... I mean I know how to vote for storys ect..but how do you vote for people? Thanks :)

@beadeddelights First thing you do is go to this discussion you don't like. Then, when you look at the right-hand pane that lists your favorite discussion, notice how it's all highlighted? All you have to do is press the big red X () and that will unsubscribe you from e-mail alerts. :)

@CamilleTanner The Watty Awards is Wattpad's yearly writing contest that searches for the best books in nearly all categories. If you want to enter, all you have to do is to edit your story and recategorize it as Watty Awards 2011 + whatever category you want to enter your story in. :)

@TheImaginationAddict Yup, there's an e-mail notification but to get this, you'll have to become a fan of the person whose story you're following. It'll also pop up in newsfeed when he/she uploads.

A book is complete if it has a green check next to the date updated section. Alternatively, you can search for complete books by going through the Discover section and filtering it as such. http://www.wattpad.com/stories/all?view=complete

Finally, yes, if someone clicks reply or types in your username with an @ symbol, you get notified.

@TheMadCatter Sadly, Wattpad doesn't have that kind of thing yet. The closest, I guess, is the Fan option. You could suggest it in the support forum if you want (http://support.wattpad.com/home) :D

@Archleone Thanks for the help! I have another 3 questions. 1) What is the vote option for beside stories? What am I voting for if I click that? 2) What is the plus 1 option? 3) Out of curiosity, when a story says 200 reads, does this mean 200 people have added the book to their library?

@TheImaginationAddict Sorry for the late reply! Still pretty busy with things.

1) The vote option is only for stories at the moment, so no voting for your favorite authors though you can like them on Facebook. You would be voting for the individual part you're reading (not the entire work). The votes basically add up to your story's Popularity score, which helps it climb the What's Hot ladder.

2) The +1 option is for people with Google Plus - a social networking site akin to Facebook. Though it's full now and is by invite only since they're just beta-testing it.

3) I believe it just means how many times people, registered user or not, has read it, regardless of whether they voted/commented/added the story to their library.

@jhazzmhine06 Unfortunately, you can't physically copy/paste stories from here on Wattpad. If you're talking about a book from your computer though, then I'm guessing there's a good reason for not being able to copy such as copyright purposes. What story is it that you're trying to upload by the way? :)
