Well, not sure if its really historical fiction, because it has a lot of fantasy in it-and i mean A LOT, but it isnt sci-fi at all, or something like literal mecha...Hard to explain XD Anyways, just wondering how much of you like the kind with elfs?

for one that's an actual genre called Speculative fiction, and I always liked it. Though make sure by elves you mean the tall lord of the rings ones, not the one's in Santa's workshop~~

@Stella101 it would depend. Some of them talk about merlin and such others are just about the history I'm actually writing a fantasy/historical fiction. It's rather hard...

May i say something? Wikipedia once told me that their was an octopus that lived in a tree... So sometimes it can be not reliable at all xD, unless that tree was under water... but like you said just look it up online, mostly some kind of Wiki site will have it, try looking for one with the main topic of your story.

I LOVE elfs like that. Espeacially when they look like Orlando Bloom ;) lolz but ya, I love reading books about them. Actually, my book does, The Secret Dame. I've only introduced one elf so far, but there will be plently. :)

Looking for historical/fantasy/ficiton. How about Vampires versus the Third Reich. The book follows the plans of Germany invading Poland. The Wehrmacht (regular army) pulls out and is replaced by the SS units under the ultimate command of Heinrich Himmler. The plans of relocating the populace are implemented. Unkown to the Germans they are stealing the food supply of two warring vampire clans; the Romanov's and Boirarskys. Will the clans unite and take on the Thrid Reich or will they continue with their petty issues as their food supply rapidly dwindles? The book? Occupation on Amazon or Smashwords

@_InnocentTorturer If it has elves, it's definitely fantasy. It wouldn't be categorized as Historical Fiction because elves aren't real. Although, I love elves! haha!

Mine has old irish fairies in it. I would categorize it as historical fiction because it is part of Celtic mythology and since my story is set in the time when the myths are set, who's to say there weren't faery people at the time?
