☀☀Song Inspired Short Story Contest (Closed. Deadline November 19th)☀☀

Basically what will happen is you express your interest in joining the contest and pick a number 1-10. Then I will assign a song (by The Doors since that's all I listen to) for you to listen to. They'll all make amazing stories so don't worry about that.

You don't have to be familiar with any Doors songs or even know who they are in order to participate. Just listen to the song and look at the lyrics (I'll provide both) and go wherever that takes you.

You'll have 3 weeks to complete the story. When you're done dedicate it to me. Once the deadline is up I'll tally up the scores and announce the winners. Sound good?

The story can be about whatever you want (as long as it's not a fan fiction) and can be whatever genre you want. The whole point is for you to use your imagination! The only thing I ask is that it's inspired by the song I give you.

Now for the prizes. As there are only 10 spots (I'm a college student so I don't have time to read tons of stories) I will only pick two winners. First place, and runner up.

First prize:

A fan from me, a dedication from me, a book cover from me and a LONG critique from me on the first three chapters of a story of your choosing. (I made all my book covers except for "Realms of Bliss" if you want an idea of what my book covers look like.)

Runner up:

A fan from me, a detailed comment on the first two chapters of any story of your choosing, and a story ad or banner from me.
