What is Love?

What is love? Boy, that is a tough one...a lot of people ask me that question. And it is just the same as asking, "What is hate?" except it is the opposite. I have felt love many times, yet I cannot describe it. What is love? Love is a beautiful thing. It is something that can either drive someone to death because the person they love doesn't love them back, in fact hates them. Or, love can change your life forever in so many ways-both good and bad. Love is a feeling, a connection, between numbers of people. But why do we love others?

I don't know.

I guess it is because we feel a need to stay with someonefor the rest of our lives, or we would be quite lonely. And sometimes we find love because we have a desire to feel accepted. To feel like someone out there does accept them for who they are. And some people love others because when we feel a connection because we love the same things, and the people we love are just so unique and beautiful that they cannot stay away from those people.

Love is like a flower-it takes time to grow. Love needs things for it to grow just like a flower does. A flower needs sunlight, water, soil, and food just as much as love needs trust, connection, fun, respect, and kindness. And most of all, affection.

But one thing I DO know for sure about love, is that it must be protected and cared for, not by one person,

But by both people that have the love for each other.
