@Captain_Dred Good point. But what does parental love has to do with being gay? |

@MotazAbumathkour well don't judge places you've never been to. Bible school is more of a... Sunday school. IDK I'm in the older classes so we talk about scary things like Death....I hated that conversation. |

@MotazAbumathkour It doesn't actually, it's merely a study/theory. Some people are like that because of that (nurture) but most of the time it's the "born this way" theory. So, yeah, you're pretty much right...parental love normally doesn't have anything to do with someone being gay. |

Right, I doubt that's why people are gay, since it's something that starts in the womb... |

@Kokona97 We're talking about the methods of communicating with gay people, not the sunday school as a concept. |

@Captain_Dred I think it's more about what kind of environment they're being exposed to, not the parental love itself. @BlueRev There's nothing to prove either theories, so I think everyone is free to choose whatever they feel comfortable with. And I myself choose to believe that everything in our lives we have been taught, not born with (save a few exceptions not related to this topic.) |

True, we don't know for sure what causes homosexuality. But we do know that is something that is determined before birth, so I don't believe it is taught. I think the way a child deals with his sexual orientation does have to do with their parents and environment. If a child has accepting and tolerant parents, he'll probably come out rather soon. If a child has homophobic parents, that child is probably never gonna come out, or it will be years down the road. |

@BlueRev Yes, he may learn to come out and embrace his gayness. But he may as well learn to love the other sex. |

Yeah, I don't think a homosexual can learn to love the other sex. The same way you and I can't be taught to love men. Like I said before, they might be scared into believing they are straight, but their actual sexual orientation isn't going away. |

Well, if you're actually into turtles, it's probably a mental disorder, not your upbringing. |

@BlueRev Why is liking turtles a mental disorder, and liking men not? |
