What is enough and then what is too much?

I've never written something before but want to give it a go. The story is a long enduring and very painful story that actually did happen. But is posting things such as abuse(emotionally, physically and sexually) too much for a reader? I would like to put it into the story because it's staying true to the non-fiction true life story but should I save the pain for the reader? what do you guys reckon???

@marydanica You should write it! If this is what you wish to write, then just do it! (:

But before you start the story, you should write an author's note, warning people about the topics that take place in your story. Also if there's sexual abuse, I suggest rating the story either PG-13 or R.

I'm writing a true story at the moment. I actually just started it! It's basically about my depression and how someone came along and saved me from being suicidal. God only knows what would have happened if he didn't come along and save me...

I'm writing this story cause, you know, it feels good to let it all out. And if I were you, I wouldn't let the audience stop you. Just do what you heart desires <3

    I hope this helped! :)

p.s. Incase you're wondering, my story is called "The Collision of your Kiss" Here's a link if you want: http://www.wattpad.com/story/1857597-the-collision-of-your-kiss :) <3
