Hopes and Dreams (Atty's Entry) I crouch behind these crystal bars, Watching the world pass me by, Wondering, wishing, dreaming, For my time to spread my wings and fly. The loon cries sorrowfully in dawn's light, The wolf howls at the moon, And I sit here in a crystal cage, Hoping my time comes soon. If only there was a diamond key, To unlock all I can give, But if I am stuck up in my mind, How can I begin to live? The loon cries sorrowfully in dawn's light, The wolf howls at the moon, And I sit here in a crystal cage, Hoping my time comes soon. But then a click, the door swings open, I jump up with a shout, For I am at the top of the world, My Hopes and Dreams came out! The loon cries sorrowfully in dawn's light, The wolf howls at the moon, And I sit on a throne of dreams, I have escaped from the crystal cocoon! |

@TheEpicTurnip - I think it might be a Quatrain, but I'm a bit lost on poetry types sometimes. I found this the other day which might be useful - http://www.shadowpoetry.com/resources/wip/types.html. Cheers, Gav |
