End of the world, 2012? WHAT THE FIRETRUCK????

Discussion for the end of the world. Is it really going to happen? What about these solar flares? What the hell is going on???? AHHHHHHH! XD If so why the hell isn't anyone doing anything about it?....

Its not going to happen. There have been over 400 leap years since Caeser created them in 45 B.C. Without the extra day, today would be August 18th 2013. Also, the Mayan calendar didn't account for the leap year as the came before Caesar. So technically, the world should've ended over nine months ago.

I really doubt the world will end in 2012, there is no solid evidence far as I know. Beside that you will just have to wait and see if your alive on January 1st 2013. LOL! :D

@Happiness123 Yeah I do doubt it'll end too... I've heard the thing that DarkLightBlazes said before. My friend worked it out for me and it's true. Though I am really curious about this solar flare thingy that she's talking about. I've been oddly interested in Solar Flares a lot lately. (hehehe inside joke alert!) But I'd still like to hear (or rather "read") her theories and stuff. :)

@IHopeYouStepOnALego the theories are interesting but funny at the same time, I don't think they can see logic. In the media its has been and said so many times that the world will end in 2012 or previous than that and nothing happens. So, I guess nothing will happen this time around either!

Omg ok so on the 21st the earth passes through the milky way, where there are small planets and asteroids. The sun gives of some gases, causing hot stuff to spit out and into our atmosphere. The earth Is protecting itself, but scientist don't know how long it will hold up. They are warning people now....they feel it will be bigger this time ( a solar flare happens every 11 years )....honestly, I'm worried. It makes sense for the world to end now....and ur that information is accurate, it was said on CNN by michio Kaku. The power grids will be hit by the flares, causing the world to effectively turn out....lights, cars, phones, computers, HOSPITALS! All gone out like a light... I hope to god none of you are in america...they depend on electricity so much. @IHopeYouStepOnALego

I don't know, but I kind of have a good intuition, and something feels wrong this year...it's in my gut. It just feels...like the end. I don't know! I don't think it will be gone...kapoof kinda thing...but I think major things will happen. Do you believe in a god? @Happiness123

@RozalittleDhampir Haha crap I'm in America. Where'd you get this from? It sounds like something I read in a vamp book! I realize your taking this seriously, so I don't mean to offend you, but it sounds kinda stupid to me. I mean if it IS true well, I'm screwed, but whateves till then! xD

@Happiness123 Do I believe in God? Which one? The Islam God? I don't know much about Islam. I've gone to a Christian church since I was little. I pray to the Christian God. Do I believe in him? I'd like to... heck I LOVE to, but not necessarily. There's too much hate in the world for an "all loving God". If he really loved us then why would we lose the ones we love? I could ramble on about this forever, but it's a bit off topic for this particular discussion. We could take it to PM if you'd like? Of course I mean no disrespect to you or your religion (or to anyone's) but that doesn't change the way I see things. :)

@RozalittleDhampir I don't know if the world will end but maybe something may happen that may change the world. At the moment the world is self destructive in my opinion there are more crimes and destruction than ever before. I do believe in God. What about yourself?

@RozalittleDhampir I do kinda agree with what you said about this year feeling... off. Excessive bad things have happened this year. Maybe there is a God of some sort who is doing something similar to the story of "Noah's Ark" (it's a Christian story). So maybe he doesn't like all the hate and he's finally doing something about it? Just a random theory.

I totally understand what you mean by evil being in the world and how our love one's are taken from us. (But don't you think thats not God its free will? ) I am open to the discussion at any time! :D

No, it was on your new station! From a well known scientist called michio Kaku....look on utube, you should be able to find it;) I'm not taking it to seriously, but I believe in the solar flares because there is scientific evidence. I don't believe it will be like the movie 2012...I only worry because there will be fighting for food, not because of floods and other ridiculous stuff like that. @IHopeYouStepOnALego Hmmm... A tricky one. Yes, I suppose there is a creator of sorts...buti don't believe in religion ( no offense if you are quiet taken to it;)... God an religion are different things...religion causes wars. The way I see it, all religions believe in some kind of god so why can't we just get along? I do not believe that when we die we go to heaven or hell...I believe our soul inhabits another body, and lives on in a continuous loop. I believe that's why you get déjà vu;) so I'm not afraid to 'die' @Happiness123

@Happiness123 OMG I hate the whole free will thing! (lightly not like yelling at you or anything) Anyone could use that to describe anything at any given time. It's stupid. Now one theory I had a while back was... what if there is some extent of free will, but God basically gives us a path, and we follow it as a general rule, we make our own decisions for the most part, but God has already decided about the GENERAL path that we take. Like for example (this is entirely made up for the sake of example) say I "decide" to go out into the woods wearing jeans and a t-shirt and I end up falling out of a tree and breaking my neck and dying. The general path would have been me going into the woods and dying and WHEN it happened. The free will would have been me deciding to wear jeans and a t-shirt and climbing the tree I fell out of. But the Falling part was compensated because I would have died in some way at the time anyway. If I hadn't climbed the tree then I would have gotten eaten by a bear or something.

That's how I think free will COULD work if there is a higher entity (or God if that's how you see it).

@SpringYellow Yeah;) but the science is correct about the flares. I don't think the world will end as such, but there will be catasrophic damadge, no doubt about it ( in my opinion ;)
