Camp NaNoWriMo *____*

I'm thinking about joining, but I don't know if it would kill me or not... So who here has done NaNoWriMo or Camp NaNoWriMo or plans on doing it in August? What are your opinions on it? Are you excited about it? Is it fulfilling? I know I have so many questions, it's just that I want to see if other people enjoy it and stuff before I go and decide to do it. I think I'd enjoy it, but I just want to see what other people have to say. So, post away and let's discuss Camp NaNoWriMo/NaNoWriMo. ^.^

I did part of it this June but I had to stop due to school starting back up, I plan to do it again in August with a better story. :) @Rainebowwrites

@Rainebowwrites I think it's pretty good, I've never really participated in a NaNoWriMo before, whether it was camp or not but I like the idea of aiming high. And you?

@BlueSpectrum I've never done it before and kind of really want to because I love the idea of setting a big goal like that and finishing a novel in a month. The only thing that's been holding me back from joining the camp is that I'm slightly nervous about it all. *_*

So, have you decided what you'll be writing for the August camp?

@Rainebowwrites Not yet, but I think I have an idea in mind, my June cabin was really inactive so it was just me most of the time, I'd like to find something with a strong plot because my last one went nowhere.

Did you participate in the June camp? If so, how much did you write? I only wrote around 17,000 words and had to stop because of school ;(

@AngelaWu It's about writing a novel in a month and it happens in November. They also have a Camp NaNoWriMo which is the same thing, but it happens in June and again in August. ^.^

@BlueSpectrum Ah, I see. So what kind of idea do you have running in your head? What genre would it be?

Sadly, no. I didn't even know about the camp until mid June and figured it was too late to join. I then decided that I might join for August though. 17,000 words is still relatively good though in a positive perspective since it's almost half a novel. But I'm not positive, so I feel your pain.

@Rainebowwrites oh, I get it! I thought there used to be a NaNoWriMo club? I can't find it now...So what happens in those camps?

@AngelaWu O_O I don't know about a NaNoWriMo club.... never heard of it. I'm not completely sure, I think you get 'cabinmates' who help you out and stuff and you try to write a 50,000 word novel in a month. It happens in June and August. Sorry I can't you much more information because I haven't joined camp NaNo yet since I'm still thinking about it.

@Rainebowwrites I'm not too sure, but I definitely want to do in August and I'd like to be in a cabin with more active people. I'm going to plan the story through out July and hope to write during Camp :)
