Page-2081 Materialism denies God, secularism simply ignores him; at least that was the earlier attitude. More recently, secularism has assumed a more militant attitude, assuming to take the place of the religion whose totalitarian bondage it onetime resisted. Twentieth-century secularism tends to affirm that man does not need God. But beware! this godless philosophy of human society will lead only to unrest, animosity, unhappiness, war, and world-wide disaster.

@BrotherDave It is interesting that it's even possible to say nothing using so many words. Isn't it also too self-righteous and easy to reduce all good aspects of mankind to religion instead of even trying to get a picture of the complex and ambivalent system our world is? No? Okay.

To JohnS_2 How greatly you err. Those quotes above are not mine, but from the public domain Fifth Epochal Revelation of Truth indited into the English language by high super-human agents of God. To wise, reflective humans, those words convey supernal wisdom insights. If you peruse those words again, you might see that.

@BrotherDave Hi. Want to ask a few things.

If "god" says in the old testament (from where I'm imagining a lot of the filler stuff you believe is from) for Moses the prophet to call it "I Am" than how can I Am be separate from it, when it is an I Am. 

Also I think you bagged out atheism. Atheism is the most honest religion out there. At least they have the guts and the ability to throw away the imaginary shit and face life head on with a belief in their own capability, free from guilt, shame or a belief of eternal life and stuff. 

I'm not that strong. I believe I see connections between things. When I look at the sciences I see unfolding mystery, when I look at the spiritual writings of old I see the same but I also see all of this as being us. No matter how had I try all I can see is a polarity driven by the incomprehensible  beauty that is this existence.

Beyond that I'm at a loss

@BrotherDave super human agents of God?! I would love to know who these super humans are. Then again, there is no such a thing as a super human. We are all equal in this life, just different aspects.

And why would God make super humans? Isn't that unfair to us? You're already contradicting the main point of this topic, which is the greatness and fairness of God

As for the OP's intention, he seems to view the world through the filters of the aneristic illusion - the belief that everything is based on hierarchy, order, etc. To me, it seems, even himself has no knowledge of what be's his intentions in this.

Seeing many errors and evils stated in the Old Testament by various human writers from ages 6-12, and hearing that all of the Bible is "The True, Infallible Word of God", I called myself an atheist and devoted my life to finding Truth and Reality in the hard sciences and advanced math. By age 25, I was most cynical of the classic writings on Reality. Ages 25-36, I was an agnostic. Read chapter 1 in my first book to see my sudden soul-identity experience at age 36. That was the start of really seeking to find God above and within. My second book will cover that in depth here.

The best, super-human indited Book on Reality is "The Urantia Book", given to this planet circa 1935. It is free of copyright and may be perused, word-searched, downloaded and freely shared here:

This book is now in about 16 major languages and in 60 by 2030. So the atheist viewpoints are disintegrating ever faster. This is God's will.

Our Universal Father-Infinite I AM has bestowed the divine dignity of an unique, unchanging Personality upon all humans and many other beings. Personality is the source of volition - freewill. Because God does not want automatic robots to mindlessly worship Him, God allows the highest adjutant mind spirit - wisdom - in each normal human to be stronger than the second-highest adjutant mind spirit -worship. Our Father God of freewill desires only freewill sons of God to freely choose to worship Him or not. On infinite, eternal Paradise, the resident human Spirit Sons of God would freely worship God endlessly - so high super-angels of God have a beautiful way to remove this natural tendency to over-worship God ! (all of that is too sacred to jamb into the finite human mind here; you will have to wait to comprehend same. )

God has no "religion"; religion is of human evolutionary origins. God is our all-wise and fatherly-friendly Primal and Final Source and Center of all Reality. True religion is the Spirit-knowing of God as our infinitely loving and merciful Father and all humans as equal brothers and sisters in the infinite-numbered Family of God, and each a son of the Father. (All humans are classified as sons of God; the many types of angels are classified as daughters of God.)

There are two Persons that no human can run away from in this first life experience on earth: God and your soul-self duplicate. But your mind can be twisted by perverse animal-human evolutionary drives. You may choose the higher or lower realities as God has given you freewill to Be or to be not.

EmissaryOfArceus (The Demised One) Popeye joined Olive Oyl in the year 1929 and together they destroyed Arceus. If you convert to Hinduism, they might allow this dead Arceus to be included as a god as they already have allowed about a million different ones.

Seriously, God has never been revealed by name; He has been totally Revealed as our loving Father by the supernal Life and Teachings of our eternally Sovereign Creator Son of God Jesus Christ Michael.

@BrotherDave The Urantia god sounds like it could be bad Taoism; the unnamable source of all existence is given not only a name; God the Father but even a gender; male (of course.) In fact so male is this god that all of humanity is male... Even the woman. 

Why?

Because angels, you know them things that look like genderless glowing man beings with wings are the woman of the eternal heavens. Our planet appears to be ruled by one of these fem-angels!

Along with the outer galaxies and off world councils of supreme worship, yadda yadda, it all seems like a contorted confusing array of mystery business that all good cults are made of. There is sexist domination, an all powerful out there deity  that can't be disproved (can't be proven either, but hey; all the better right.) with enough magic and mystery to make it seem like a wonderful thing to be a part of, away from the boring boringness of our drab reality. You even have an enemy, those damnable atheists.  

Rev, your part of another belief that says believe what I do and be saved don't; and you will be less than us. 

I'm kinda against this sort of thought processing but each to their own I guess.

@newrageguru You should stick to science; as your Theology is extremely defective. God the Father, God the Son and God the Spirit do not have our limited, gross physical bodies ! They are not animal sex creatures with male or female physical reproductive equipment. Each of these three coordinate, co-eternal Deity Persons are Omnipresent Spirit ! God has no outside and no beyond; thus all things and beings, including all humans (seven trillion human inhabited planets in this beginning one trillion year supreme age; much more later without end, as the Infinity of God can and does include an infinity of infinities and much more.) are living and perfecting WITHIN GOD.

@BrotherDave These delusions you have been having, about Popeye and this, er... "Jesus"... they concern me. Have you had a history of schizophrenia in the family? For only Arceus can speak to those who will listen, and surely it is you who will not listen. The Original One loves all His children, even those who refuse to listen to him. If you would but force aside these hallucinations, you would see that everything I am saying is true. Remember, Arceus loves you.
