Most thrillers on Wattpad (or at least the ones I've read) are more plot focused, with fast paced storylines and a lot of action. A psychological thriller, on the other hand, is more character focused, and instead of having an outward enemy, it focuses on the enemy within. It's suspense is built by the destroyal/renewal of the mind. It's action consists more of battles fought with emotions than with weapons. I was wondering if, on Wattpad, a psychological thriller would be best categorised as a thriller, or if it would be better to put it in another category? If so, which one? Thanks in advance! x |

Hi ...I just read one of your stories. I found it very sophisticated for a teen fiction. I enjoy a good psychological thriller too and I'm sure others as well. Perhaps a new section would be warranted. I like to write tight plots but character driven chapters. |

I think it would be better placed as a subcategory, ya know? Because I think "thriller" is just an umbrella term just like "romance" and "fantasy". Does anybody here write or read/watch psychological thrillers? If then does anyone have problems when writing? Cause I have a boat load and I need some help! |

Yes, I am one write now. Have you done any research in the difference between a socipath and psychopath? If not I can give you an author to read. There are differences and if you want to be true ...and not have your readers saying that not what a ... or ...would do then you have to know their traits. If you know what their traits are then the writing becomes easier. |

@tenforthedevil Really? Me too. I've done extensive research on the difference between a sociopath and a psychopath. I'm working on a character who I'm classifying with Paranoid Schizoprenia, my only issue is how and when I should do her descent from normalcy to insanity. Is this story of yours on Wattpad? |

Somehow I deleted my subscription to this club...an email is out so I can re join. My brother is a Paranoid Schizoprenia and we were all shock when we found out. They are normally very intelligent people who go a little crazy. My book Ten for the Devil has a pure psychopath in it "Seth"...I'm thinking of moving it from HF though. Let me know what you think. What book did you read on Socio - psychopaths maybe we read the same book? @nicoleCampos |

I'm sorry to hear that about your brother. I'll check out your book "Ten for the Devil", would you like to check my story out? If not it's alright. I'm assuming HF is an abbreviation for Horror Fiction right? Oh, I didn't read a book on Socios & Psychos, just did a lot of research on them online. A LOT. @tenforthedevil |

I have one of the stories that you've described and one its genres it's Thriller since I couldn't find any other genre that would match it...I think maybe, another genre would be Spiritual but that one seems kind of mismatched for some stories. |
