Welcome to Hogwarts - RP Thread (Open to All!) WHY IS IT SAYING CLOSED?????

Tension was thick with Rosie and Deena glaring daggers at each other. Mila and Dawn just shrugged at each other, watching the silent stare-off. When the boat stopped, they split off. Deena and Dawn rejoined Ella, Lisette, Kendra, and Lucy just in time to hear the instructions to line up.

Rosie glares at Deena the whole boat ride, and doesn't stop until Deena runs off with the rest of her friends. I follow the mob of fellow students until a lady in emrald cloaks stops us.

"Welcome, new students to Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry. Right through these doors, is the great hall in whitch you will be sorted into four houses, Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff, and Slytherin. Right this way!"

She says as we follow her, gaping at the size and bueaty of the great hall.

"Now, we will sort you into houses, when I call your name please come forward and I will place the sorting hat on your head."

There is a flury of whispers among the students, Interupted by song. The hat openers it mouth and sings a song. The school claps and once they have quieted down the lad opens a scroll.

"Rosie Justina Grace."

She calls as Rosie walks over the the stool. She sit down and just as the hat lands on her Bushy red hair, the hat calls out.

"GRYFFINDOR!!!"

There is a large amount of clapping as Rosie skips over to the table sitting next to a group of red heads, who seem to be a family.

"Hi!"

Rosie says shyly to the people next to her.

"Mila Casee Lestrange."

Mila heard the voices all around her, she was trying to keep herself calm but Mila saw her friend sorted into griffindor, the house which Mila never be sorted in.

Mila sat down on the stool and the hat shouted. "SLYTHERIN"

Mila knew the moment she got her letter that she was in slytherin. She walked to the slytherin table and sat down, looking over if she saw Rosie looking but she was too busy making friends.

"A Lestrange"someone said to Mila, Mila turned around to face the person.

Rosie was shocked when they called Milias name, and the people around her were muttering things about her.

"Hey shut up! She's the nicest snake I have ever seen or known!"

Rosie says defending for her friend. She looked over at the table and saw Milia with a look of longing on her face. Rosie gave her thumbs up and smiled to try and make her feel better, but it didn't work.

"She's going to be a bad one, I can tell just by her name."

Says a boy at the table, and for that he got a nice hard kick in the shin.

The feast meal was starting but Mila didn't had any hunger, she stood and walked out of the Great hall and sat on the stairs with her hands hiding her face, crying...

Mila felt a hand on her shoulder but she didn't look up.

"Dawn Lena James!" Dawn took a deep breath and got up onto the stool. The sorting hat fell into her eyes, blocking her view of the Hogwarts population.

'Oh no', she thought, 'what if I get sorted into Hufflepuff? Not Hufflepuff, not Hufflepuff...'

"SLYTHERIN!" yelled the hat. Dawn breathed a sigh of relief as the green and silver clad table cheered. She plunked herself down onto the bench and waited for the rest of her friends to be sorted.

"Lisette Rivas."

The tall girl with peculiar green and blue hair stood up and made her way over to be sorted. As she sat down the hat was placed on her head. "Hmmm. Where to put you? The bravery in your heart would make you a great candidate for Gryffindor, your individuality and wit could get you into Ravenclaw, for your cunning and ambition, Slytherin, but your patience and loyalty, those are great traits for Hufflepuff... Where to put you? Where to put you?" The sorting hat seemed to contemplate for a few moments before deciding.

"HUFFLEPUFF." It shouted, and Lisette went off to join the Hufflepuff table, where she was greeted warmly.

"Deena Coulthard"

She stood up and boldly strode over to the hat, trying to keep a skip out of her step. As the Hat landed on her glossy copper hair, it began to mutter to it's self almost immediately.

"Hmm... What have we here, a self-righteous and proud Pureblood? Yes... Most peculiar, you don't essentially fit into any of these houses. Brave, Cunning, Kind to your friends and very clever...but I am going to have to say..."

Deena waited with baited breath.

"Slytherin!!!" Deena took off the Sorting Hat and waved her own black pointed hat in a low bow towards all of the students, before running towards the Slytherin table, jumping and clicking her heels from the top of the steps. Deena grinned as everyone laughed. She sat down, crossing her fingers for her friends who were still waiting to get sorted. Deena glanced over at the Hufflepuff table and grinned at Lisette who waved at her. They both knew they would remain great friends.

Ella shivered in anticipation. Despite the hot summer they had this year, the hall was deathly cold, and goosebumps ran up her arms.

"Bond, Ella," the Professor called, and she stepped up to the stool.

The Sorting Hat fell over her eyes, and a small voice whispered in her ear. "You're brave yes, but smart enough to know when to run away. You have a vivid imagination and are quite kind... but a little to judgemental and aggressive."

Ella sincerely hoped the whole hall couldn't hear what the hat was saying. A silence filled the hall as the Sorting Hat seemed to contemplate her house. But then it's brim opened and Ella glimpsed the light of the Great Hall. "Slytherin!"

Ella took off the hat and walked proudly over to the clapping table where she sat next to Deena and Dawn.

"Congrats!" Dawn said, clapping her on the back.

"I already knew I was going to be in this house," said Ella, smiling. She turned around to see the next girl sorted.

"Kendra Nadine," Kendra heart stopped 'Oh god, thats my name! walk Kendra, walk!' Kendra thought to herself as she eased onto the tall stool overlooking the entire hall, the sorting hat was much to bif for KEndra head, she she used her hand to hold up a corner.

"Ahh yes," A vioce breathed in her head. "New to magic are we?"

"Yeah." Kendra said outloud.

"Alright then, your quiet fritened, thats alrught, theres nothing about magic to fear," The hat assured her, "I Do not belive you are right for Ravenclaw, you probly won't get past the front door. You seem to willing to follow others to be in Slytherin yes... Hufflepuff, does not fit you, so... Gryfinndor it is..." The hat said in her ear.

"GRYFINNDOR!!!" the hat shouted nearly taking out Kendra's ear drums.

Grinning Kendra hopped off the stool and looked around, before she turned back to the professor calling names, "What table to I go to?" She asked quietly. The Professor smiled and piotning to a table in the middle, "Thank you sir!" Kendra smiled before skipping off to the correct table her tagled hair following her.

Kendra looked at the Slytherin table and waved brightly, before sitting down by some other first years to watch to rest of the sorting.

-Can we just move on from the sorting now? Otherwise we'll be waiting a while for everyone else (two people)-

Ella waved back at Kendra, but she had already sat down amoungst the cheering Griffindors. She wondered what it would be like if she still attended a muggle school, with their terrible uniform of skirts and white polos. Her classes had never included Potions, Charms or Astronomy. Though her science teacher had used a solarscope to show them the Venus Transition.

Ella pretty much zoned out of Dumbledore's speech, but her ears perked up when he mentioned the danger and treats in the Forbbidon Forest. Ella was SO totally going in there this year. She whispered to Deena, "We need to make a trip into the forset this year."

"Aren't there werewolves and vampires and other dangerous stuff?"

"Yeah."

"I'm totally in!"

Ella missed the last part of Dumbledores speech, but suddenly the tables were groaning under the weight of delicious dishes, which certainly hadn't been there before. Stomach growling, Ella piled a stack of potatoes onto her plate, Dawn and Deena doing the same beside her.

Ella leaned over to Dawn. "Me and Deena are going to the forbidden forest. You in?"

"Of course!" Dawn grinned. "Two hours in and we're already breaking the rules."

Rosie looks over to the SLYTHERIN table and sees dawn deena and Ella whispering.

"There going to the forbidion forest."

Says Nalia as she slowly walks over acting normal. Rosie smirks and turns to face her friends.

"Hey guys, Snakes are going to the forest, wanna scare them?"

Rosie says smirking watching them get up from the table with the rest of their house. Me and Kendra stalk them, and run into the forest ahead of them. Smiling. Rosie cups up her hands making a lould wolf howl snickering at the 3 girls who jumped looking scared.

Ella, whom had jump the highest, became severly annoyed. "That's bloody it," she muttered, pulling out her wand.

Dawn and Deena did the same, and then they looked at eachother and aked simultaneously, "Do you even know any magic?"

"I could make it turn flouresant and sparkle?" Deena suggested, looking hopeful.

"I know an incantation for unlocking things," Dawn added.

Another wolf howl echoed through the forest and cut out in a giggle. All three girls looked up suddenly, and a grin came on Deena's face. She made for the source of the howl. "Griffindors! I'm gonna kill them."

"Wait!" whispered Dawn. "There's fun to be had here yet."

Catching on to where she was going, Ella began to smile to, her teeth white against the dark. "I grew up in the bush, if they think they can hide from me in here they've got another thing coming."

Dawn smiled. "Can we go deeper into the forset?"

"Okay, just do what I do."

They stepped into the shade of the trees, and the moment they walked in the shadows, they were invisible.

Dawn grinned. "Alright, here's the plan...."

They stood there whispering amongst each other, each adding ideas. By the time the next fake howl sounded, they were ready. All three girls grinned at each other, then let out terrified screams. All three ran straight into the Gryfinndors. They all fell over in a jumbled heap.

Scrambling to her feet, Dawn put on a terrified face. "Rosie! Kendra! I'm so glad you're here! There's...things...in this forest!"

Ella whimpered in agreement. Deena hid behind Ella, not because she was scared-which is what the Gryfindors thought-but because she was trying not to laugh.

Ella cracked a branch uderfoot, and Dawn used it as an excuse to grab Rosie, as though it terrified her. "Did you hear that?" she asked.

"Get off." Rosie grumbled. "It's just..." she trailed off as she noticed something. A magically enlarged Silver began to wrap around her waist. Dawn let go of her and started to smile. Rosie let out a high pitch scream. "Get it off!" she yelled.

One of her friends had already split, and Kendra looked ready to follow her. As soon as Silver had slithered to the ground, both of them bolted, yelling about snakes, both actual snakes and the girls.

All three Slytherins burst in laughter. As soon as they had started to calm down, Deena said, "Get it off me!" in really high voice, setting them all off again.

"You know," said Ella, "This could be the start of a beautiful rivalry."

A cracking sound emerged from the forest, and then a howl and a scream,

"What. Was that?" Deena asked.

"More Gryffindors?" Ella suggested.

Running footsteps sounded from between the trees and Lisette tumbled out, her hair messy and full of twigs. "Hey." She said slightly out of breath, "How come I wasn't invited?" She joked with a wink.

They trudged back up to the catsle merrily, laughing at Dawn's imitations. The Griffindors had left the castle doors open, and they slipped inside quietly. Suddenly Ella realised, "Where's our common room?"

"Craaapp..." Deena groaned, after having dinner and scaring the other girls she wanted nothing more than to lay down and enjoy her first night at Hogwarts.

There was a long arduos moaning behind them, and they turned to see a weary looking ghost floating around, his old fashionede shirt stained with blood.

Although he looed terrifying, Ella had to try. "Excuse me, do you know the way to the Slytherin commonroom"

The ghost looked started by her, as if he hadn't noticed any of them before. "Of course, my dear. I'm the Bloody Baron, Slytherin house ghost."

"Can you take us there?"

"Certainly." The ghost began to lead them towards the dungeons. They said goodbye to Lisette, whom knew where the Hufflepuffs went, and followed the Baron.

"Rawr" Deena muttered to Ella as they both clambered into their beds. Ella chucked one of her pillows at her and Deena chucked it back, hitting her in the head.

"HEY!" cried Ella, who chucked it back and then jumped on Deena's bed and tried to smother her. Deena threw her on the floor and they proceeded to wrestle with each other before getting hexed by Dawn.

"Owowowow!!!" Deena yelped, hopping around clutching her bottom, before throwing herself straight down on Ella's bed and slithering under the covers.

"DAWN!!!" Ella yelled, before jumping into Deena's bed.

"Wait a second..." Deena muttered.

"Haha! You two are so daft!" Dawn laughed before Ella and Deena sqitched beds, glaring jokingly at each other.

"I'm too tired!" Deena moaned before yawning hugely.

"Sleepy times..." Ella and Dawn replied.

Their dormitrory awoke to the sound of Spooky honking, perched upon the post of Ella's bed. He was in the middle of letting out a siren like wail when Ella's pillow knocked him off.

"Ella!" I hate your chicken," moaned Dawn, sitting up and rubbing her eyes.

Deena began to get up, but didn't bother opening her eyes so she felt her way around the room blindly. Tripping over her rucksack, she landed on Mila's bed and was forced to open her eyes.

"What day is it?" asked Ella groggily, removing her foot from under Deena.

"Monday, our first day at Hogwarts," said Mila disdainfully, already pulling on her robes.

All three girls leapt out of bed, suddenly eager to start their day. Ella took one look at her hair in the bathroom mirror, and decided not to try and brush it, she left it in it's sideways ponytail that was falling out. She brushed the golden brown curls that framed her face behind her ears, and brushed her teeth.

"Hey," said Dawn, joining her at the sink, "Wasn't your hair straight yesterday?"

"It only goes curly when it's tangled," Ella explained, "As you can see..."

When they emerged from the bathroom, they saw Deena holding up two text books. "Do we pack all our books?" She asked, "Because we don't know our subjects yet."

Ella surveyed her leather backpack. "I doubt all my books will fit."

In the end they decided that each one would pack certain books, and they'd share them in class. Spooky made several attepmts to follow them out of the dormitory, but Ella finally managed to push him far enough in that they could run off without him catching up.

"I wonder if the Griffindors found their way back to the school last night?" Dawn wondered, sniggering as they made their way to breakfast.

"you girls are crazy but i have already detention from the slytherin head of house" groaned Mila.

"How come"asked Deena confused.

"I was trying to catch up with you girls but you where already outside, i was almost outside when i felt a strong hand grab me, relieved he couldn't see you girls ran off. I had to come with him, he freaks me out and he immediately send a letter to my parents, there goes my christmas break" Mila sighed sadly

"glad that it doesn't start right away the christmas break" said Ella trying to confort her.

The girls sat down at the slytherin table and digged into the food. Mila looking for Rosie to wave and mouth Hi.

"I. Hate. Snakes! Even though I am in Gryffindor those creepy things remind me of… never mind!"

Rosie grumbled turning off her alarm and getting dressed. She pulled her hair back and slipped on her uniform, but ditched the robes because she was super warm, like always.

"Do you think the snakes are still going to be mad at us?"

Kendra asked as we climbed down to the great hall.

"It's us they should be mad at!"

Rosie said walking into the great hall. Rosie glared at the slytherins and there was only one person on that table smiling at her, the only nice one. Rosie sat down about ready to chuck her waffle at Deenas ugly face, but there were teachers here and only an idiot would do that.

Rosie ate her food fast and got up grabbing her book walking out of the grea hall hoping the snakes would follow her, cause they were invited to a little kicking party.

"Hey hufflepuff! Wait up!"

Deena sneered Ella and dawn laughing behind her.

"That's in insult to hufflepuff's!"

"YOUR IN INSULT TO GRYFFINDOR!"

She shouted not thinking about what I was going to do.

*SMACK!* Rosies shoes hit deena shin in her hardest kick yet, same with Ella and dawn.

"THAT'S for the snake."

Rosie said trying not to laugh at them as they whined and held their shins.

"Your an insult to Slytherin."

Rosie said walking to her first class, Defence Aganist the Dark Arts.

"That's it," Ella hissed, racing after Rosie.

There were two people in the world that were aloud to hit her, and one of them was dead. She rounded a corner and heard Deena sprinting right behind her. There, going up the marble staircase, was Rosie.

Ella took the stairs two at a time, and dive tackled her, throwing her into the railing. "THAT'S FOR BEING AN IDIOT!"

Deena came up behid Rosie and kicked her in the leg three tmes, making it go numb. "That's for three bloody kicks."

Kendra heard shouts from the corridors, and ran to see what the racket was about. Both Deena and Ella seemed to be standing over Rosie. She didn't quiet understand why there was such rivalry between the two houses.

Kendra nearly ran up the stairs, Professor Longbottom the head of Gryfinndor house said somthing about staying Loyal to those in your house, so Kendra immendtly helped Rosie off the ground and pulled her away from Ella and Deena. "Sorry." she muttered, not even sure what she was sorry about, but was careful not to make eye contact with anyone.

"I can't belive them!" Rosie nearly shouted, using her hands, nearly smacking Kendra in the face.

"I think we started it...." Kendra said clearly confused.

Rosie seemed alittle frustrated with Kendra, "Don't you get it!? They went to the forbidden forest and made.... Things attack us."

A smile flickered on the corner of Kendra's lips, "After we followed them... Maybe... Thats why it's called the 'Forbidden Forest"" She laughed as Rosie playfully push her to the side, "Plus they seemed just as scared."

"Kendra my dear, you are far too Gulibalbe." Rosie smiled walking into the DADA classroom, which they soom learned they shared with Slytherin.
