Not all chains are forged from metal...

Domestic violence ensnares the heart. Without love there can be no hate. Without pain there can be no chain.

Love can strip away a person's freedom. After all, would you be willing to give up the one you love?

* Based on a personal experience. This poem is the culmination of my ideas and observations on the subject. What really is love? What goes on in the mind of those abused? Why do they always want to go back...even when everyone will turn away from them for it?
