Well, despite your unsubscription to the thread, I'll answer your question.

D.A.R.E. is a program designed for middle schoolers to teach them about drug abuse. The problem with the program is that in an effort to make a more convincing argument, they lie about drugs to make them less appealing. For example, they say that marijuana is physically addictive and a gateway drug, while it is psychologically addictive (the same addiction one gets to video games or TV) and the only reason it may lead to other, harder drugs is the fact that you get it from a drug dealer. If you could buy it from a pharmacy or grow it yourself, this would not be a problem.

And being misinformed is incredibly dangerous, especially when it comes to drugs. @SophiaPotter

@TobyLurio I am only replying to this because of the live updates, but anyway while they should NOT lie, I think the main focus is that kids are not on drugs, of course being misinformed is TERRIBLY dangerous when it comes to durgs, that much i agree

It became a thread about how the media, education, and government skews your point of view. I am suggesting that they research topics that they've been lied to about. They don't seem to be taking kindly to science. @lilkolo91
