Summary: Iris McClailen was a year from graduation. She had her best friend, Lucia, and her mother. She loved nature. But her father was in the army. She worried for him and wished that he would, someday, unexpectadly show up on her doorstep to stay. One late night on her roof led to an odd meeting of an odd boy, Daughtry. He lives in an abandoned, rundown building by himself. He's only 17 and he's alone. He's also a thief. Never been caught, but had some close calls. Haunted by a tragady, he refuses to open up to anyone. But can Iris change that? Can he help her cope with her father's absence while she helps him cope with whatever it is he's been holding back? Can a promise change the life of them both?
