I'm just a curious person with no life so I ask random questions. Who's your favorite poet? |

Probably Roald Dahl :D @Praeciarus I haven't discovered a lot of great poets, other than William Shakespeare (but his work annoys me at times :/ ) |

I find it impossible to have a favorite poet, or even a handful of favorite poets. There are poets that have a certain fond place in my heart because I encountered one of their poems in a young and susceptible moment, such as "The Lake Isle of Innisfree" by William Butler Yeats "In Just Spring" (aka "Chansons Innocentes I) by E. E. Cummings "Jabberwocky" by Lewis Carroll "Poets Hitchhiking on a Highway" by Gregory Corso "Incantation" by Elinor Wylie I am reading Paradise Lost by John Milton in bits and pieces, and every time I dip into it, I am blown away. |

Anne Sexton, Edgar Allen Poe, & Robert Frost in that order. |

Honestly, my mom...but that's mostly because she read poetry to me a lot when I was little, and she wrote some herself. But if I had to choose a published poet, I'd probably choose Robert Frost. |

Does anyone here know who wrote "The Watchers?" That's one poem I heard a lot growing up, but I never learned who wrote it. Another childhood favorite: "Sky Boy." I don't know who wrote that poem, either. I should search the internet! |

Bruce Springsteen. Bob Dylan. I'm reading Jaime Sabines right now and it's all great. He's translated by WS Merwin, who's no slouch himself as a poet. I like Charles Simic's translations of other poets. |
