Cont> Are you trying to tell me that everyone who believed in God for all of these centuries are believing in fairy tales? Who could create such a religion (or system) based on nothing? Who could falsely prophesy hundreds of futuristic events using so many different people over different periods of time. You too have power that you are not using because you fail to look outside of yourself and trust the one God who loves you, rather, you seek new & exciting garbage! There is only one God worthy of worship because He arranged life for you & He wants you to live an abundant life now & for all eternity. |

@Hardy_Boyz Do a trick... I want to see your supernatural powers. (Don't go raising any dead for me though, I'm watching "the walking dead" and I would have to wack the sucker over the head with a shovel and that might ruin it for you.) |

I think back to when Jesus had the Holy Spirit come upon Him. Then He went into the wilderness to be with God. (Fasting does not have a supernatural effect on God…it just means that you don’t get distracted by food while spending time with God.) Anyways, Satan appears to Jesus and tempts him (knowing He is hungry) with food. Then He tempts Jesus into performing an act to show He is the son of God & finally, He is tempted to worship Satan and in return…Satan promises part of his kingdom. Satan still operates the same way today. His temptations are still the same. Jesus’ first miracle was performed after He was baptized AND had the Holy Spirit come upon Him. He was at a wedding and the host ran out of wine. Jesus spoke to His mother and told her His hour had not yet come. His mother knew to trust in Him. She had never seen Him perform a miracle before but she told the servants to do whatever Jesus told them to do & when His time had come…He turned the water into wine. The wine was so good that the guest felt that the host was saving the best for last. The Holy Spirit directs those who hear and follow His voice. I am a young Christian. I have had miracles in my life because of who Jesus is (not because of who I am.) I have authority in MY life to use when I need it. Fortunately, my needs are taken care of by Christ and I am never short. I do not fall into temptation when I know it is Satan operating. |

I think Discordian (might've spelled it wrong >.< ) sounds like the religion of drunk people. I don't think anyone realized that the post about Buddhism was sarcastic, either. Christianity for me. We have a God to put our faith in, that takes care of us, and that saved us by sacrificing his son. |

@Praeciarus GASP! Sarcastic? Moi? I am affronted at that vile accusation! And, I disagree. :D I hope we can have an argument about this someday! |

I was raised as a Catholic, and went (still going...) to a Catholic school. My knowledge of Christianity is very broad. However, I recently have just jumped to Atheism (though now that I think about it, I've been atheist for a while... I was just in denial). Contrary to what you just said, I always had great difficulty believing a great being just existed in the beginning and created everything. I don't like the thought of believing and hoping in something that might not exist. And I like having my fate in my own hands. I will believe in whatever has solid evidence. Anyway, just because you might be atheist doesn't mean you're completely not spiritual. And I find it fun understanding other's religions. |

I agree, nor Christianism nor Atheism is the right thing. It's how we define our believes, but religion isn't anymore as it was before. |

I wonder what it's like to not have any religion, and to have your whole life on your own. I guess I'll never find out. |

I'm an atheist, I'm perfectly fine, I don't bother worrying about that stuff. Because if God was real, he would thank me in heaven for trying to live my one life properly. I don't worry because I have a life. I was born to die, face it we all were. We only felt blackness before life and will after. Can any of you remember what it was like to you before you were born? No, all you can see is darkness, emptyness, now think of that as being the same feeling after, darkness, emptyness. But I was upset about it on the last days of my holiday in Mexico, even cried, but whats the point? You can't cry away destiny. If there is a heaven think of who you'd actually see there. If it was real we would have found it by now, its populated at hundreds of billions, if God did create Earth you'd see ancient egyptians, greeks, cats, dogs. Think of heaven as that, because you'll all be experiencing it in a smaller amount in 2050, estimated 9billion. So go ahead, waste your life worrying about what someone else thinks of you, it'll do you no good. It's like in high school, all the girls worrying what the populars think. But there are some girls who don't, who don't care what people think about them, they just want to live their lives, and you should to, before its too late. Im deep for 13 |

@bitsyboo I disagree, but nice speech there. Christianity is not worrying. Who said it was? It's actually being at peace and knowing that you have a God that has saved you time and time again and will always be there for you, no matter what. He is our rock and our shield, and will be forever. About the dying, darkness thing, I believe there is Heaven. Heaven is too big to be overpopulated, and how in the world would human being find it if God didn't want them to? About before being born, we didn't even exist. How could we remember anything? |

@cats3580 It is trully awesome to be led by our spirits and walk not after the flesh. It is such a blessing to turn off our t.v. and not get caught up in the things of this world. I am sadend by the dispair that so many non-believers write about and seeing that they live in darkness without hope. We have seen the light and may we join together as the body of Christ where He is the head and His joy overflows to us making us a blessing so that we may be a blessing to others. God Bless You... |

@Hardy_Boyz: Dude! Your awesome! God bless you :DDD @Phantasy: I was raised Catholic too. And i then became atheist and now i'm a Christian. Being Catholic and Christian is a HUGE difference. From experience, i always found Catholic just as a religion. Just about learning about Jesus but not applying what you learn to your actual life. I NEVER felt the Holy Spirit when i was Catholic. It was just a routine to go to church. Which is why i eventually became atheist. But to be atheist means you don't believe in God, correct? And some people don't believe in God , yet they believe in the Devil. I think, if you believe in either one, you have to believe in the other. Christianity is BEYOND amazing. When you go to a christian church and hear the teaching, it's not just a repetition of the same stuff over and over again. You actually LEARN. You go to grow in the spirit and get a stronger connection to God. You can feel him. They use real life situations and apply the bibles teaching to your lives and how you can grow to become a better person in God. Once you feel this and experience this for yourself, you'll never wanna go back. It's an amazing feeling to know God is with you. It's like the wind, you don't see it but you feel it. I'm not saying it's easy, but it is so worth it. People will make you doubt yourself but as long as you hold on to Jesus, nothing can get in your way. It's a connection like no other. |

It's not a religion, it's a relationship with Jesus Christ. |

@bitsyboo: I used to think that. that if i'm a good person, that would be enough. But it's not. If we deny God in front of man, then Jesus will deny us before God. It's not a game of "who can be the goodest person on this world" it's the fact that we NEED him in our lives. No amount of good deeds can get you to heaven if you have not been saved. Like i said before, if we deny him in front of man, Jesus will deny us before God. |

@vanillanightsky You are awesome! It's amazing to feel the Holy Spirit helping you get through struggles. And I forgot the exact verse where Jesus says, "If you defy me in front of your friends, I will defy you in front of my Father in Heaven." |

@vanillanightsky "If your faith is as small as a mustard seed, you can say to a mountain, move from here to there, and it will move." Yet another, random verse from the bible :) |
