definitiondestiny has a whole bunch of images already downloaded. I am considering still entering, so I don't know what kind of images she will be using. I did request that she do one round that is a little more 'urban fantasy', and to make sure she includes some atmospheric artworks so a few are just settings to base your story in. ^_^

At the rate this is filling up, I'm going to announce a tentative

start date of Saturday April 7.

Entries will be due by the end of the day on Saturday, April 21.

This means, as long as your story is up before I get up in the morning on Sunday, April 22 to send out judging emails to our judges, you've made deadline.

Those who will move on to round 2 will be announced on Saturday, April 28 The images will go up that same day.

@ZombieSuperhero - haha, thanks for the compliment, I'm sure you I won't. Your fight scene narration is amazing. Makes me want to find some great battle images to see what you would do with it.

@sigrist - I'd like to, but my partner in crime is fairly busy right now. As long as she's available for posting up the images on the scheduled dates, I'll give it a go.

@TheOrangutan - Running this was actually entirely her idea. If she chooses to enter, I'll host. But I think she wants to focus on her own, longer works. I'm glad to hear that she entered in your micro short contest! I just couldn't pull it together in time to do so myself. I wasn't really planning on running this contest, but she's a bit tied up with her move.

@Anahlynn - I'll add you to the list, asap! ^_^ I can't imagine juggling 2 smackdowns. Does the other one end soon?
