@SUNSHiNExxMARIE Actually, you don't need a cast. It just allows your story to be nominated for awards such as "Best Male Character" and other stuff like that. But as far as I know, casts aren't mandatory. We didn't need 'em this year, so...

@SUNSHiNExxMARIE No you only need a cast if you want to be in that category of the wattyawards, all you really need is a 30 page book that gets a space is top 1000 most read books categorized as (for example) for me it would be fan fiction and wattyawards so I would need to get a high ranking in both of those to make it to round 2.

@OneSoftCookie some things that help are anouncing each time you update a story in a message to all fans that gives small hins about what is happening in a chapter you just posted, also adding *WattyAwards 2012* to the title normaly attracts more attention. and at the end of each chapter remind your readers to comment and vote, and by always replying to your readers comments you will not only give your story more comments but it will show your readers that you actually read what they are saying to you :) hope this helps!

I'm entering one story under the vampire category which is brand new on wattpad.

And then another story under either the Thriller or Action category which I have already finished.

@TheResistance Well, so far I've got the prologue, chapter 1 and 2 written of the adventure novel. t's doing quite well so far. I don't have the horror story posted yet, but I have a firm idea in my head- I'm just wondering whether or not to wait for the Watty Awards 2013 to write the horror story.

@StoriesMakeMeCry That's great. What is it ranked at? I think you should, it's always good to have a back up story there just in case you need it.

I'm doing well, I have the prologue and chapter up for the vampire novel. It's doing quite well too. It's currently ranked #84 in vampire.

The action/thriller story is complete and is doing quite well too. It will do better when I advertise it more and edit it.

@StoriesMakeMeCry @SUNSHiNExxMARIE no you don't need a cast! Here is a bit of the wattyaward rules that I copied and passed directly from where they have them posted on wattpad.com

-----"Additionally, the Watty Awards is your chance to imagine your novel as a movie. You can pick any actor or celebrity to play your characters. Casting is not mandatory, but stories with a cast are eligible to win casting awards, including: Best Hero, Best Villain, Best Male Character, Best Female Character and Best Overall Cast."

You see it says that casting is NOT madatory :) hope this fixes the confusion!

@totallyinsane You can only enter your story into one category as the other category will have to be changed to watty awards 2012 so it can be registered.

@EmmaKate12 Oh I get it now. Sorry. :P I would recommend placing it in the category the characters are more involved with. The main character if that makes sense. Like my main character is involved with vampires.

@StoriesMakeMeCry I'm entering my story called No Guarantees in Horror :) I've written the prologue, first and second chapter and about a quarter of the third. I've posted the prologue and chapter one, but I'm trying to figure out a cast before posting chapter 2, which is the hard part >.
