Suppose your house is haunted...

first thank you for sharing that. with me ..i enjoy knowing that there are others who go through what i have gone through.. my grandmother / grandfather had this piece of land they use to live on..i use to spend my summers there ..on this land i use to see shadows running around ...in my grand folks place there was a old man that i'd see .. being native american my grandmother was a healer so she'd tell me stuff .. never to be afraid of spirits .. i never have been .even those times that i was hit on the back pushed.. i was lucky having her to help understand..now that i am older i try to help others understand spirits...nice to meet you petcollect..hope to hear from you more..

@BrendaStarz I am fortunate enough to only have a few alarming/harmful physical interaction with the spirits. They scare me a lot, but rarely actually have the physical interaction with them. That can be very traumatic to people who don't understand (or aren't willing to) the spirits. My very first experience actually happend to be at my grandparents property too (strange coincidence huh?)!! My grandfather (on my dad's side), who was full blooded Indian, always had a connection with the spirit, as well as my mom. So it's not surprising that I am able to connect with them too. Nice to meet you too! :)

@petcollect well since both my mom and father ..grandmother / grandfather have since passed on ..i feel them..i know they watch over me ..aside from that i have a male spirit that for what ever reason has attached to me..he is a silent ghost you can say ...but in my home i have 3 kid spirits ..afew adult spirits..they kids are funny..they run in and out of my room ..guest have seen them to..since i do not have children ..i know know i wasnt going crazy seeing these kids in my home..many have seen them

All of my grandparents, except for one remaining grandmother have passed on. My mother also passed on when I was 19 yrs old. I know exactly what you mean about being watched over. It's an amazing feeling to know that there are so many people watching over me. That is very interesting that you have a male spirit with you. I wonder who it is and why he is so attached to you? Maybe you remind him of someone he once loved? I only know that this elderly lady likes chicken because my husband and I live alone together, and I am the only one that really pulls out meat to thaw and cook. I was very upset when I went to the freezer to find that the last package of chicken was missing. I first checked the whole refridgerator to make sure that it was indeed gone, before I turned to my husband to ask him why he took the last package out and not tell me. He said that he never took any chicken out and cooked it. So I know that somebody had to have taken the chicken. I know that this woman is also very ill, with cancer. She is a woman who did once live here with her husband, who always left her at home while he went out and was having affairs with other women. We gathered this and all of our information from families that have lived in this area for many decades. I find that history does usually play a huge role in the paranormal life.

Hmm...I would be very concern for the spirits that were hunting my house and like sad :( because it would mean they are not resting in peace and staying here. So I would attempt to help them find peace and be okay and all happy ^_^ and If they are just plain mean...ignore it because it would only make them do it more, maybe. Moving cost a lot, you know! Haha :D

@moonlightandsunshine not really ..ignoring doesnt help..some spirits are earthbound due to unfinished business..while some are here because they have no idea that they have died..while some spirits are around due to loved one..and other spirits are just ment to never rest.... all you can do is to try to get someone to see what it wants and if it can be removed from your place..some stick around to protect ..and people can have spirits attach to them..just depends

I am fascinated with ghosts and the parnormal. So if my house was haunted I think it would be really cool. I watch a bunch of shows like this on TV. On the other hand if it was a demon it might not be as cool. Meeting friendly ghosts would be fun though!

@AmandaMostyn well given that in my apartment i have 3 children ghosts...3 male ghosts...1 female..that randomly come in and out..the kids enjoy playing tricks..from hiding stuff ..to poking my arm when i am asleep..i am never scared ..i even have a cat that enjoys darting in and out from time to time..i hear voices..native american chanting or music..it gets weird..but none have hurt me..i have been push by a ghost ..

I don't know what I'd do. . . . im not that much of a fan of ghosts so if it did things to freak me out then I'd probably run for the hills. . . . . but yeah i've never encountered ghosts before so i dunno :3

I grew up in the most haunted town in Texas, so ghosts were pretty much the norm. Spirits and such interest me to the point of ridiculousness; I'd love it if my house was haunted!

If you believe in ghosts, then you should assume that every house is haunted that is over twenty years old. People die everyday. If only a few of those stay behind, there that is plenty enough to populate the world with ghosts. Personally, though I write about ghosts, I'm not really a believer. I do believe in residual energy and that sounds and even images get trapped in time. For example, I lived in a house once that was actually a newer house. About every three nights, we would be awakened by a very loud sound. It sounded like a heavy iron pot falling on a hard wood floor. There was no strange feeling or heaviness in the air or anything like that. It was just a sound. One that we never could explain.

I'm also native america/ hispanic, and I've seen and beeen able to talk to then since I could remember. I've learned live with y, and nothing really scares me anything. As I've gotten older, demons have taken to stopping by for a few months. They don't try anything, just ponder on how to get to me. My...level if power, I guess thu would call it, confuses them. I have conversations with them on it at times

@RachelADyson well given the fact that the land has been here for ever as they say many people have lived on way befor we do..i have family and friends that have built new homes where it was just empty land ..no one had ever lived on it..and seen stuff.. heard things that they had no idea where it came from ...so i do believe in ghosts ..have had my share of encounters ...and maybe the heavy iron pot sound came from earlier time period.. who knows ..

@LaciDenise well now Demons are on awhole different level i think..then ghosts..same as shadow people ..little is known about shadow people or not enough on them..but demons dont usually drop in randomly unless they were sent or someone did something to get them to come ...seriously i'd leave them alone cause from what i have come to know if you leave a open door for them to talk to you..it can get crazy..Demons are no or not good to have droping in on anyones place..trust me ..

@AmandaMostyn there are all types of ghosts..from long departed loved ones ..to dear friends .. depending on the ghosts ..it kinda sad to know many dont cross over cause they fear heaven or family or friends they knew in life that have passed on also...and to be honest TV paranormal shows are nice..but theres so much more going on at the real haunted places they go to.. that they dont show ..with just a hour to do cram all into a show its hard to cover everything..i love them to the one i am a big fan of is The dead Files..Paranormal Witness ..

Our resident poltergeist likes to be annoying, but he's never done anything to us. If he starts messing with the dogs, we just tell him to knock it off. Or if he's in the bathroom while I'm trying to shower, I just tell him not to look or I'll kill him again. :p He has an awful habit of knocking things down, though. I had a figurine in my room once. He used to throw it around at night.

I lived with my grandmother for about four years before she died last year, and she had this weird stuffed rooster on top of her fridge that use to make noises when she reached up and pushed a button, mind you she was the only one who could reach it, well one night about midnight, both my sister and I was in my grandmothers room watching a movie, when we heard this noise, being by ourselves it kinda freaked us out, so we decided to go together to go see what it was, then we realized that it was the stuffed rooster on top of the fridge, for seven days straight that thing went off every night at midnight, well about two weeks later my other sisters friends came over and they commented on the rooster, and so my sis and i told them about it, so one of them reached up and took it down from the fridge, he opened the back were the batteries were suppose to go, and he turned it around, so the back was facing us and there were no batteries in that damn thing!!

@RoslynJB That totally reminds me of my grandmother and a stuffed rooster she used to keep on top the fridge lmao. NO JOKE or SARCASM. She used to keep this rooster on top the fridge and that damn thing would like go off just randomly. it was pretty random. Me and my friends always tried to hide it, but my grandmother would always find it and put it back on the fridge. lol. scary stuff.

@InsanityAtItsFinest, that's funny, the house was pretty creep, my moms house is probably 3 hundred feet away from my grandmothers house and one night, I was at my mom's house watching my TV shows, and the sister that lived with me up at my grandmothers house, had been home a couple of hours, and then I get a call from her asking were i am, and when i tell her were i am, she swears up and down that there is someone in the kitchen because she can hear the cabinets opening and closing, and she can hear someone walking on the floor, so I stop what I'm doing because she is so freaked out by it, i walk up to my grandmothers house and check everything out, and when i get up there, three of the cabinets are open, and my sister tells me that when she got home all of them were closed.

@LallaSqueglia well i live with 3 children ghosts...3 to 4 adult ghosts..nothing is normal in my place..but then like most i have abilities ..so i pretty much controll my place..but still the children ghost are the hardest to controll..as they do what they did in life..play..from jumping on my ned to pulling the covers to hiding my cooking spoons..lol..their playful..but i do get tough and say enough..behave or leave..they get quiet lol

@RoslynJB i can understand how it is at your place ..in mine theres random knocking.. voices...it gets weird but you get use to none of my ghost ever hurt me ..maybe scare my guest but not hurt..

@BrendaStarz I never got the feeling that something wanted to harm us, just mess with us, but then again, i hear stories all the time about my grandfather and how he liked to play tricks on everyone.
