I love Jane Austen's writing. Pride and Prejudice is definitely her best. Emma is good too. Jane Eyre was also a great read. Anne of Green Gables is hard to not love too. |

I like everything! I recently read Pride and Prejudice, which I now cherish, and also Wuthering Heights, the Sherlock Holmes cases, Dracula...Actually, I'm head over heels for the Count of Monte Cristo!=) |

@BlackPoppies I love the Count of Monte Crist as well. I'm about halfway through it and the Count is one of my favourite characters ever. The best classic in my opinion though, has got to be Wuthering Heights. It's so intense, and Heathcliff makes me cry every time! |

Wuthering Heights, most of Charles Dickens (I share his birth day, NOT the year!) and all of John Steinbeck's works. |

@JamesBambury That's one of my all time favourites!! I wrote a project called DovQuixote totally inspired by that, although it's not at all similar. The ultimate comedy/knight tale. I love it. The Catcher in the Rye is one I love as well, and read it whenever my life goes through any major change (I'm due for a reading!) Also Greek Mythology is so deep, so different than anything else... Ovid is epic, and I love Thee Odyssey and the Iliad. Very very rich. But Don Quixote takes the cake for me |

DovQuixote you say? I'm interested enough to take a look at that. I'll take a look. |

Oh, dear. I, personally am not a fan of Austen (*ducks the flying tomatoes*). I can understand why you would be, but she didn't really click all that well for me. My favourite classic, although a modern classic, I suppose, would be the Great Gatsby. Coming in at a very close second would be The Three Musketeers. |

@algie888 and here I thought I was the only one who didn't really like Jane Austen. 'Should I start running now?' |

I guess mine would be Edgar Allan Poe!- especially the poem 'The Raven'. Sure, some of his stories are creepy but hes so good at writing them! "Quoth the raven- nevermore!" |

@KittyKat3000 Telltale Heart was wonderful! But the odd one about the cat... I'm not too sure about that one... @MarieRiver Anti-Austen-five! |
