@AngusEcrivain I'm kind of new to Sci-fi, but I think I could give time travel a try. :) |

@AgathaChristieLover - no need to apologise old bean, I'll just have to get my brain in gear on something else. Good luck with your entry. Cheers, Gav |

I do have a Sci Fi short story, utilising my characters from The Crying Pennant, that I was going to add to the Kindle version. It is comedy Sci Fi, they travel in Professor When's time machine to Avalon. Would this do for the anthology you are preparing? |

@AngusEcrivain Thanks for enabling my laziness. :) Could you sign me up for Soft SF? If somebody else requests that in future I am willing to switch to Super Human. I have ideas for both. |

@AngusEcrivain @ForbiddenPlanet Looks like you have plenty of volunteers to write, but how about editors? |

@AngusEcrivain - This is a great idea for us to do. I would love a part of it. I've been wanting to get published as long as I've been alive, I've actually been rewriting chapters of my completed novel from scratch as to make it better. So give me a run by of the progress, less than 10,000 words, a select sci fi genre that others haven't taken, which would leave which ones left? Putting it on kindle & nook sound great, for free if they like our short story they may look for others by us and not mind paying, excellent idea by everyone, although Sci-Fi will be a new experience for me. Sign me up, though I may need help finding a suitable genre. |

Well it'd be sweet have you on board Craig! As for the run down... well... I'd say aim for somewhere between 10-15k.. if it's more or less, then fair enough just don't go crazy! Genres remaining are Super Human, Hard SF, Space Opera, DieselPunk, PostCyberPunk, TeslaPunk, NanoPunk, GreenPunk, TransistorPunk, CandlePunk, SpacePunk, StonePunk, SurprisePunk... the definitions for most of which can be found by following the link on the first page, second post, of this thread... Aye it looks like we'll be putting the collection up on the Kindle as well as selling a hardcopy through lulu.com... all pretty exciting stuff! :) |

I don't understand any of the genres... lol :P. Is Super Human like magic and such? What are the profits going for, donations to wattpad? |

@CraigAPrice The genres are all subgenres of sci fi and if you read @ForbiddenPlanet's definitions guide, you'll be able to understand. Superhuman, in case you're curious, is tied in to biopunk in that it's altering genes and DNA to make a super human. There are no profits. This work will be priced so that pages, ink, binding and etc will be covered but there's no money made. |

@AngusEcrivain I'm thinking about trying this out. Never done sci-fi before, so it'll be a new experience for me. What is Stonepunk, by the way? |

I'm aware that they're all parts of Sci-Fi, but I don't know about any sub genres of Sci-Fi, it is there that I lack experience. I'll check out the guide, thanks, @TwinPeacock |
