If you are having difficulty with an opening, try starting in the middle with a bit you really like, then fill in the backstory before reaching your ending. Nobody said a story has to start at the beginning :) |

@SLARoCKrChICK One way to get beyond this is to write total nonsense at the start & possibly even rage about how much of a hassle it is to get started and then start talking about your story until, next thing you know, you're writing it! As an editor I've found that openings often get cut anyway, so the pressure to write a "great beginning" can be self-defeating. If you're feeling stuck, go with THAT until you get to the next part. |

@BADDASSCHICK I always have that problem, but it's much easier for me to try to get into the character. I try to feel the same emotions that I want to express. The words will pour out of you soon enough! just don't give up! :) |

I'm very new to writing, and to wattpad. I have no idea what I'm doing in general to like.. everything. I'm also not very good at putting my stuff out there for people to read. I'm very self conscious about my work. With that being said... if any one wants to help me out with what little I have so far that would be really nice of you. |
