I stared out the window, the woods looked so perfect. . . beautiful. The trees swayed slowly in the wind. The leafs colors were marvelous. Fall was my favorite season. I looked over at the clock soon to realize I had been staring out the window for fifteen minutes. I looked back out the window one more time and sighed. I wished I could go in the woods and just explore them! Fell the leafs and plants beneath my feet. Smell the smell of the woods. Take it in slowly and sit there. Write poetry and songs about things. Nature always inspired me to write more.
Bringing me out of my state of la la land, someone knocked on my door.
"Hunny, dinners ready! Your father has guests, so please wear something nice." My mom said in her sweet soft tone. I heard her foot steps walk away. I got off my window cill and walked to my closet. I walked into it looking for a dress to wear. I assumed my father's boss would be coming over. Because of that I picked out a knee length dress. It was red, had sparkles and had straps. I quickly grabbed my favorite black heels and slipped them on. I walked over to my bathroom and smiled at my reflection. I grabbed my wooden brush and brushed my soft black hair. It was straight and went a little past my shoulders. Then I put on a little mascara, lipstick and diamond earrings.
I walked down stairs to see my mom, dad, his boss and a boy sitting at our table. I quickly took me seat, my father gave me a disapproving look. I bowed my head so I couldn't see his face. The maids brought in the food and set it on the table. Spaghetti, bread, salad and lamb. My father looked at his boss, smiling,
"Well Peter, I hope you like the food! We have some of the finest chefs here."
His boss looked at him, not smiling, "I hope so, my son and I are very hungry after waiting for your daughter to dress herself."
"I'm sorry sir, I simply dosed off and lost track of time. Don't blame my father for this." I said looking from my father to his boss. He smiled at me,
"How old are you young lady?"
"fifteen and a half."
"Ah, my son here, who I forgot to introduce, is sixteen. Isn't that right Samuel?"
"Yes father." He said looking at his father. I observed the boy from head to where the table hid him. He had silky looking brown hair, birght blue eyes and was as tall as his dad. He noticed me staring at him and looked over at me. He smiled at me and I couldn't help but blush and look away. We all ate and talked for the rest of dinner.
"I would like to know more about you, Casey." Sam said smiling at me. I snickered and looked away from him. Sam thought so highly of himself for being the son of my fathers boss.
"In your dreams." I said pulling my hair into a messy bun.
"Because your an arrogant prick." I smiled at him
"Wow, not acting proper around daddy?" He smirked.
"I hate it! I hate being miss goody-two-shoes and being all proper, it's stupid!"
"Yes, my dad thinks he is a king or something, expecially around your dad."
"Your dad treats my dad like crap." I said a little to honestly
"I know. But he pays him well." Sam said poiting around the room, the patio.
"It's not like I like all this. I'm a vegiterian and they think im insane. They kill animals and hang them! It's not right!" I said feeling water forming in my eyes.
"We should hang out more.."
"I'd like that.."
We both looked at each other. I smiled looking into his beautiful eyes. Then we were interupted by our fathers walking in. We both went straight back to being proper.
"Darling, it's your bed time." My dad said to me. I looked at the clock it was only eight o'clock.
"Yes father.." I said. I shook hands goodbye with Sam and walked to his dad. "Good night Mr. Wellington." I walked up the large stair case to my room. Once I got to my door I opened it and ran in shutting the door behind me. I quickly stipped off my dress changing into my comfy pajamas.
My mom walked in my room when I was sitting on the window cill looking out the window. I heard the wolfs from my room. It sounded like they were close. My mom tapped my shoulder. I turned to her and smiled.
