Lay Me Down

"I love seeing you laugh" He muttered before taking a bite of his sandwich.

"Damn this is good" He muttered. I laughed. He was so dumb. I grabbed my sandwich and took a bite. Damn it was good. I gave him a thumb up and he chuckled.

"You are so lame." He muttered." But that's something I like about you" He muttered.

"What all do you like about me?" I asked.

"I love your smile, you're smart and your funny but you don't really realize it because you aren't really trying to be. You're beautiful and you have a big heart." He said. I smiled.

"What do you like about me?" He asked.

"I thought that was a girl's question. Guy's aren't supposed to ask that." I told him.

"Says who?" he questioned.

"I don't know. Isn't that just some rule?"  I said.

"Well it isn't a rule in my book. Now tell me what you think" he demanded. I  laughed.

"I like how you always make me laugh; I love how you are always there for me. I love that you cook. I love the fact that you aren't one of those dumb football players. You're smart, funny, and caring Carter. You don't get that that much. You just get the guys that want to be in your panties" I stated.

"That was a good answer" he said. I laughed and finished up my sandwich. I washed the dishes we used and was placing them in the cabinets when Carter spoke.

"You want to go on a date?" he asked me.

"What?" I asked chuckling.

"Do you want to go on a date? We haven't been on an official date yet." He stated.

"You are such a girl." I told him.

"Whatever I'm trying to find something for us to do." He stated.

"Sure Carter where are you taking me?" I asked.

"Ummm.....It's a surprise. You will find out soon." He stated. "You can get ready in the guest room" he stated. I nodded and went upstairs and grabbed my things taking them into the guest room.

"Be ready in twenty" He  yelled after me.

"Okay" I yelled back.
