"It all began in eighth grade," she started.
"Aiden's parents had just been divorced and he stopped believing in love. This kid was the kind of kid that would daydream about one day finding his princess the way a girl would dream of being one. As soon as his parents split, though, he just... lost all hope."
"It didn't take him too long to find a girl willing to love him, and he started to believe again. Only 3 months into their relationship, she stole his virginity. He'd given it willingly, however... It took her only 2 days to dump him after the fact."
"Aiden was lost. He hated love, the simple idea of it. He was broken, angry. He started going through girls the way an addict goes through their stash. He did to them what that bitch did to him, yet he didn't care. He would date them for days or for months, but in the end it was always the same," the girl finished, almost running out of breath. The hallways had cleared, save for a few people that didn't care to get to class late.
"So what do you have against me? Why hate me so much?" I queried.
"Because I love him."
I could only muster a measly, "oh."
"Yeah, well. That's what you get for dating the biggest player in school. For most girls, the appeal is the money, but for me, I don't know..."
"I'm sorry."
"No, I'm sorry. I was a total bitch. I can tell how much you like him, and I snapped. Whatever, it's fine. I just hope you can manage to keep him unlike I did."
"Uh, sure. Yeah.. Well, thanks," and with that I rushed off to first period.
