Two days after Ebony was killed and one day after Matt saw Carley in the photo.

Carley's Dream

"Dylan, stop!"

"Ginger! Get off me now!"

"Ouch, that's my leg!"

These cries were among many as Matt, Dylan, Ginger, Sim and I all piled up in a heap on the floor. These cried were surrounded by laughter, the typical sound of happiness. We all eventually calmed down, and sat happily, chatting amongst ourselves.

We stayed in this calm, relaxed state for a while before my dad walked in.

"Carley, may we talk for a minute?"

"Sure," I shrugged, smiling apologetically at my friends before getting up and following my dad out of the room.

He took my downstairs, where my mum was waiting patiently, a huge grin plastered across her face.

"Carley, we have faaaabulous news!" she gushed.

I waited for a few moments, before realising they were waiting for me to give a response.

"Wow, okay..." I said slowly. "Do I get to know what it is?"

"Of course!" my dad started. "We are..."

"We are going to Spain for a month for the summer holidays!" my mum yelled, clapping her hands like an over excited seal. "Isn't this fantastic? It's so fantastic! Everything is fantastic!"

My parents beamed at me.

"Well?" my dad asked, a worried look creeping into his eyes. "Aren't you excited honey?"

I smiled at him.

"Of course I am!" I squealed, faking enthusiam. "I'll go pack right away!"

I rushed out of the room and back up to my friends.

"Guys, I have bad news," I groaned.

"What is it, Carls?" Ginger asked, looking up from putting eyeliner on Dylan. I have the weirdest friends.

"We are going to Spain," I replied glumly.

"What! How is that a bad thing?" Matt enquired. "Aren't you excited?"

I rolled my eyes.

"You sound just like my dad," I muttered. "Anyway, not really. It's for an entire month, and we leave toMORROW!"

I was met by four sad faces.

"What? You can't just leave, Carley!" Dylan exclaimed. I struggled to take him seriously with eyeliner on.

"I have to. You know what my parents are like."

Sim, who had been silent through this, looked thoughtful, before grinning.

"Why don't you bring us! It would be so much fun!"

My friends' eyes all lit up at the idea.

"That's a great idea! Let me go ask!" I gabbled, before rushing downstairs.

Before I knew it, we were in our hotel rooms.

"Okay, you five will be sharing this room," my mum gestured to a door on the left. "Isn't that fantastic! That's so fantastic!"

"Right, mum. Bye!"

I shot into our room.

"Sorry about her, guys, she gets a bit...excitable sometimes," I explained, grimacing.
