Chapter 41- Always and Forever

I woke up in the morning with a massive headache and I felt very uneasy for some reason.

I smiled to myself as I recalled last nights conversation.

"I know you're smiling, you look beautiful." He whispered into the phone.

"Don't ever stop smiling. No matter what." His voice was hoarse and croaky, ironically adding more of a soothing touch to it.

I pulled the duvet off me and stood up walking to the bathroom.

I couldn't help the smile that plastered on my face.

See with Hunter and I, we were broken pieces of the same vase.

We just needed to be put together.

I realised that I needed to talk to him. I needed to tell him how I feel. That I love h-

I stopped and thought back to our conversation in the park.

"Tell me something other than those words..."

I just needed to find the perfect time to tell him.

Maybe today?

Maybe today, I could tell him that I will stand by him and love him, always and forever.

I had now completely woken up with my sweet thoughts and touching memories.

I made my way downstairs and greeted Martha and little Dylan.

"Hey Warrior Anastasia!" Little Dylan called out, pulling a funny face.

"Not you too!" I groaned and sat down beside him.

"What do you feel like eating Tas?" Martha asked as she placed some pancakes in front of little Dylan.

"I'm just going to make myself some cereal." I told her as I got up and went to the counter to make me some coco pops.

"Tas come here!" Little Dylan called me over in a rushed and excited voice.

I took my cereal and sat down beside him again.

"What is it bro?" I asked him, in a scruffy attempt at a males voice.

"Nothing." He laughed shaking his head.

"You're the cutest little brother ever." I told him as I ruffled his hair.

"You're the best older sister." He replied, adding "everrrr" in a high pitch squeaky sing song voice.

I chuckled as we ate our breakfast.

Once we were done little Dylan and I went to the game room. We were playing foosball.

"You want to talk about the institute, Dylan?" I asked him as we played.

"What do you want to know?" He replied.

"Why were you there?" I asked him as I plopped down on the bean bag chair.

"When they took my mom in, they took me in too because they thought that I was affected and traumatised, whatever that means, by what was happening to her," He began, "They said she was schizophrenic they said it means she sees people that aren't there like ghosts, they said she's more or less crazy." He spoke as if he were reciting what that had told him in the institute.

"I still love her though." He added.

"What about your dad?" I asked him softly trying not to upset him and bring back unwanted memories.
