Silver Dragonfly

Silver had found herself lost in a pit.

Her unguided hands found no way out of it.

Silver started to rust, she started to die.

She prepared for saying good-bye.

In the midst of her internal destruction,

There came a fluttering interruption.

A small Dragonfly managed to shine in the dark.

Silver noticed the beauty's wings spark.

The Dragonfly lit a path to safety, to hope.

But the path was a tangled, upward slope.

Silver had trouble sifting through,

But just as her passion shrank, it grew.

The Dragonfly forced her to toughen,

Silver couldn't go on carrying caution.

The Dragonfly would help Silver fly.

She would get over the Hatred, the Shy.

The Sun would blow out, Creativity would hide,

As the destined pair would fade across the divide.

A Silver Dragonfly would emerge someday.

Off shards of glass their light would richocet.

All Silver had to do was climb out of the pit.

And leave her irrationality behind along with it.

But there were times that Silver started to melt,

Once, it seemed, her death had been dealt.

That only determined her Dragonfly, who carried her on,

Who brought her back to life and swore that by dawn,

Silver's heart would be returned, full and free!

All she had to do was give her Dragonfly the key.
