Taylor Swift Concert

The last special event I attended was a Taylor Swift concert on March 9, 2010. That same day in the last period of school I got my phone taken away because it went off in class. That at first made me dread going to the concert because I thought my mom would get mad at me. I had gone to my friend, Alyssa, that I was going with to the concert and asked if I could borrow her phone to tell my mom that my phone was taken away. She handed me the phone and said, "My dad is here. Come on."

I walked after trying to get my mom to pick up the phone so I could tell her my phone was taken away. I finally got a hold of her. She said she was going to the school to see if she could pick it up. I told her that we would be at Red Lobster if she could get it.

Mark was driving to Red Lobster when we got stuck behind a bunch of people trying to get on to the excess road. We got off the ramp and into the parking lot when my mom said that the office was already closed. Alyssa and I shared the shrimp platter while Mark got the shrimp scampi. Our shrimp platter included two biscuits, a thing of shrimp scampi, ten pieces of fried shrimp, and a shrimp pasta. We ate all but the shrimp pasta. The shrimp scampi was buttery and hot. The fried shrimp was well fried. It tasted like fried broccoli which is really good.

We paid and got back on the road to the American Airlines Center where Taylor Swift was performing at. It took us like one whole hour to get there. Though it did not feel like it. We got a parking spot and headed in the building. We walked right into a crowd. It was hard to keep up with Mark and Alyssa. Let me tell you a few things. You had to scream to be heard. You could not stay with the people your with because of how many people where in there. It was loud and I mean LOUD!

Right then I smelled popcorn. But because I have braces I couldn't have popcorn so I had mint chocolate ice cream instead. It came in a Dallas Stars mini hockey helmet. We then went to stand in line for programs and t-shirts. After we bought the stuff we went to find our seats. They ended up being up at the very top. It was louder in this area then it was outside.

Taylor Swift finally came out to sing at like 9:30. The concert started at 7. But whateva! It was amazing. Most of the time I sang along. But I was not the only one.
