Paige's POV

After Mason's outburst to the police officer I decided I couldn't put this off any longer. I needed to call my mom and tell her that I had just gotten into a wreck. I sighed as I pulled out my iPhone and dialed her number.

The line rang and my mother picked up on the fourth ring. "Hello Paige. How was your day," she said.

"Hey mom...I uh...I umm..."

"Honey what's the matter?" She said full of concern.

"Mom. I just got into a wreck and it was my fault."

"Paige! Dear are you alright? What on earth were you doing that caused this? I swear Paige if you tell me you were on your phone you will be in big trouble young lady!" I flinched away from the phone. She wasn't going to be too happy about this.

I took a deep breathe and said "yes mom, I was on my phone. But before you start screaming I have a legit reason."

"Paige! What have I told you about that?! It is dangerous! You could have been killed or you could have killed someone! Honey are you okay?"

I sighed with relief that her time softened. "Yes mom. I'm fine and the other driver is okay. I couldn't say the same thing about his car though. Look can you come pick me up and we can talk more when I get home?"

I look up from the ground and I noticed that Mason was watching me. Had he been watching me this entire time? Jeez this guy is creepy. A smirk formed on his mouth and jeez he looked sexier. How is that even possible?!

I forgotten I was on the phone with my mother so I quickly told her where I was and hung up. After talking with the police officer for a few more minutes I heard my mom's BMW pull up. Mason saw her and made his way over to me smiling.

"Dude, why the heck are you smiling? Your car might be totaled and you're smiling?"

He smirked,"because sweetheart. You haven't seen the last of me. And you will be mine." And with that he walked off. Once again, what the hell is up with this guy. Maybe he just escaped from the mental institution. My mother pulled me out of my train of thought.

"Let's go," she snapped. "I have to call the insurance company and while I do that you better call your dad and tell him what happened. He won't be too pleased to hear about this." I sighed and pulled out my phone.

The next morning I woke up and took a shower and got dressed for school. Joy. It's only Tuesday. I walked downstairs and I see my dad at the dining room table. "Hey dad. What are you doing here."

He looked up at me and glared. Uh oh. I guess he still hasn't forgiven me for yesterday. "I had to take care of things since you so recklessly got into a wreck. Do you have any idea who you got into a wreck with?"

I gulped, "uh yeah. Some guy named Mason. Mason Carter."

"And do you have any idea who his father is?!" He snapped at me.

"Umm...n-no." I stuttered.

"We'll let me enlighten you. Charles Carter owes many corporate businesses in the Unites States and in many other countries. He is worth more than Bill Gates."

I gasped. Holy shit. That's just my freaking luck. What is that Mason guy presses charges on me. Oh gosh! I'm going to rot in jail when they are done with me.

After the dreadful conversation with my dad I grab the keys to the Honda that no one drives. It's kind of like the spare car and is used only in emergencies.

"Excuse me young lady. What do you think you are doing?" Said my father. He is still rocking that glare. Jeez he needs to get over it already.

"Umm..I'm taking the Honda so I can go to school." I said softly.
