I stood there, looking at the ground waiting. In an instant the rock was replaced with a second piece of paper which was wrapped around something. I picked it up carefully and unwrapped it. There was necklace of which the pendant was of a tusked elephant, and the string made from an unknown black fiber. My eyes darted to the piece of paper to see what it said.

Thank you! I will make this quick. I need you to go home or someplace safe. there footsteps are getting nearer. The disturbing thing about my world is that they can find you. I sent you something so please keep this with you and go. Please believe me...you are not crazy, nor am I. Put the necklace in a class of water when you are somewhere safe.

With each word that I read my heart raced faster and faster. Without realizing it I actually turned around and started walking back home. I remember how uneasy I felt, how alone I felt. EVeryone around kept on walking like they saw nothing. I later learned though the moment I touched that piece of paper and read it, everyone around me saw me picking up a piece of garbage and throwing it in the trash then continued to walk.
