People shop on the internet around the clock while you sleep, get a website up, position it to be found by the search engines, so those searching can shop on yours. Lets keep it real, like a business offline there are tools you will need some will be free and some you pay for.

Here are a few foundational basic tools you need to take action and "get started" - the key to success online is to get a WEBSITE put something up and stay focused on ONE thing.

You can test and tweak to see what is working and what is not, If you continue to do nothing but collect information you will have a hard drive that's full and a bank account that's empty.

Here are your action steps

1. Do your market research (free) see what is selling and sell that(go to www.clickbank.com it's the largest digital online marketplace - click on the category/topic of your choice - if you find at least 3 or 4 products in your niche , then you know it's a profitable niche because they are already selling or it would not be on click bank.

2. Get a domain name "Go Daddy" be sure its relevant to the products you are going to sell

Example; if you sell baby shoes - your domain name should be www.babyshoes.com or whatever baby related name.com

3. Set up a Mini Website/Landing page/squeeze page/BLOG ( this is your place in cyberspace)If you don't have a website, where will visitors to go to see your product? Your website is your online shop or store - You must have a subscribers opt-in box for visitors to sign up to be on your list -

Offer some type of "free special report" audio, video, newsletter etc... in exchange for their contact info so you can follow up with other offers relevant to that niche.

Instead trying to sell something to a first time visitors offer to GIVE something free - (with valuable information relative to the product you are selling).

The report you give should have info giving solutions to the readers problem it's the reason they were searching and wanted to buy.

Insightful information gets you into the visitors email legitimately, since they opt-ed in signing up for you free report(you can get articles and information, videos, audio etc... from the owner of the affiliate product you are promoting)

The first and best sale you can ever make is to "collect a visitors contact information", don't think like the "get rich quick crowd" (if you set up your system right the sale will come in a very short time)

Remember you are starting a online BUSINESS not a "get rich quick scheme" you want long term customers and your goal should be to set your business up in a systematic way using an automatic follow up system of messages (AWEBER)

Your "niche market" is pets - (which is huge) but your "niche product" is "dog toys"... you would offer your visitors a free report on "5 ways to choose safe dogs toys". Inside of this free report you will educate your readers with valuable insightful info then refer them to your "affiliate product" that is selling "safe dog toys"
