Liam and Gracie... Enjoy :)
“No he doesn’t Harry.”
“Yes he does Gracie.”
“No he doesn’t Harold.”
“Yes he does Grace.” I turned to Harry and hit him lightly on the shoulder. “How dare you call me Grace!” I said laughing. “You started it! You don’t believe me and you called me Harold!” Harry and I were both laughing and play fighting now. I poked Harry in the side, harder than expected and he started tickling me. “Harry stop! I. Can’t. Breathe!” I was laughing, and I could practically feel my face turning red. Just then Liam walked in and I reached towards him, “Liam help!” I yelled. He ran towards me and tackled Harry. I sat up and started laughing, Liam now had Harry in a headlock. “Yay! Woooooo! Go Liam!” I yelled.
Both boys stood up and Harry walked towards me, bending down a little to whisper in my ear. “Told you.” He said and left Liam and me alone. Liam couldn’t like me right? I mean I really wanted him to, and Harry’s my best friend, he wouldn’t lie to me. I walked to the fridge, trying to fix my brown hair. “Your hair looks fine love.” Liam said sitting on the barstool. I smiled, and turned around when I felt a blush form on my cheeks. I grabbed two water bottles from the fridge and handed one to Liam. “So how are you Gracie?” He asked. I shrugged, my face getting hot again. What was wrong with me? “I’m fine, Liam. How about you?”
“I’m fine, but it’s hot in here.” He said drinking his water.
“Right! How about we go outside.” I said a little too quickly.
“And take a walk. Grab a coat though, it’s pretty chilly outside.”
I grabbed my favorite sweater and threw it on, along with my beanie. “Nice jumper.” Liam said opening the door for me. “Thanks, I like yours too.” When I shut the door behind me, a slap of cold air hit my face. “Jesus it’s freezing.” I said hugging my arms around me. “It really is!” Liam said, then he wrapped an arm around my shoulder and we began walking. “Hopefully no rabid fangirls will attack today.” Liam said jokingly.
“You know you like the attention!” I said giggling.
“Only from certain people Boo.” He said smiling down at me. I cast my eyes down, hiding the blush forming on my face. I tried changing the subject by running forward, “Look swings!” I shouted. I heard Liam laugh softly and then run to catch up with me.
“Need a push?” He asked. I nodded and stuck my tongue out. He gently started pushing me and then eventually I was going really high. “Liam I’m going to jump.” I said. “Don’t hurt yourself though!” He shouted. I jumped off the swing, my hair blowing back as I went through the air. I hadn’t noticed, but there was a giant pile of leaves in front of me. I went crashing down into the leaves, my beanie falling off in the process. “Gracie!” I heard Liam yell. I sat up and started laughing really hard. Liam’s face lit up when he saw me laughing, and he plopped down next to me.
“I thought you were hurt.” Liam said handing me my beanie. I was still laughing at the sheer adrenaline, and making a high pitched noise. I covered my mouth, not knowing how I sounded. Liam cocked his head to the side. “Sorry, I uh…” I started.
“Don’t apologize love, your laugh is, well, lovely.” He said smiling.
“Well how about we get out of here, get some hot chocolate or something?” Liam offered while helping me up. I nodded and walked with him along the sidewalk. As we were walking a young girl, around five, was running towards us. I thought she was going to run around me, but she ran into me, almost knocking me over. “Whoa…” She said in a small voice. Was there something wrong with me?”
“Mummy! Mummy look!” She said pointing at me and jumping up and down. The woman ran over and apologized, “I’m so sorry, she just ran from me.”
“No problem ma’am. What’s your name?” Liam said kneeling down.
“Clarissa.” She said giggling.
“That’s a beautiful name.” I said smiling at her.
“Mummy look, she’s a princess!” Clarissa pointed at me and I shook my head.
“What makes you think that hun?” I asked curiously.
“You’re pretty, like the princesses on my movies. And you must be the handsome prince. Did you wake her with a kiss!” Clarissa shouted. Liam stood up and glanced over at me. It sounded like he whispered, “I wish.” But I doubt it.
