[Monologue #55]

Have you ever rode in New York City? The city is sleepless. Footsteps, traffic, and streetlights grace this magical place. The smell of honey-roasted nuts, churros, and hot dogs fill the air as it combines with the combustible exhaust of gas. The trains speed through the underground, taking many people back and forth. Love is made in this city; kissing when the ball drops, dates to places like Olive Garden, marriages in Central Park, and much more. Look into my life as a city girl. I've gotten a glimpse of yours, so can you keep up with mine?

{Jas'marieé's House, Friday October 22nd, 7:22 pm}

(Jas'marieé's P.O.V.)

After busting down my homework, I looked over my blank college application. It was due in a few months, but I was really undecided; I knew Julliard was my dream-school since I was a kid, but what if I wasn't granted the opportunity in? It would crush me if I didn't make it because it wasn't only my dream--it was my childhood best friend Necole's dream. Now that I think about it, I really do miss her.

I sighed, placing my application back in the folder. I was bored out of my mind in the house by myself. Prince and I hadn't spoke since school, which I found to be peculiar. Prince was starting to act enigmatic all of a sudden, and I was beginning to get scared of that. Why was he acting so discreet lately? I was really starting to question what he was doing underhand.

I brushed it off, though. Prince might've been reckless, but I doubt he'd go far.

Bored as ever, I decided to get in the shower and change into my black and gold Adidas tracksuit. Once I did that, I put my hair up in a half ponytail. I put my diamond studs in my ear and slipped on a pair of my old Supras. I decided to gon a run around the perimeter of Fort Greene Park. It was risky of me, being that I'm pregnant and it's dark outside, but I needed the air.

I grabbed my phone, Beats by Dr. Dre earphones, and my keys before leaving out of the house. I locked my door and moved down the stairs until I reached the bright, white lobby. I stopped in my place to unlock my phone and plug my Beats in. I scrolled through my music until I found Day 'n' Nite by Kid Cudi. Music in; world out. It described exactly how I was feeling about everything; I wanted to free my mind in search of day and night.

I walked out of my building, only to be hit with the crisp mid-October breeze. I began running towards For Greene Park, slowing up my stride when I made it there. I slowly jogged around the perimeter of the park, ignoring the the boys who seemed to have been calling out some vulgar obscenities to me. My last run around, they caught a glimpse of my stomach, and backed away. Cowards.

When I got home, I was tired as can be. I jumped in the shower and brushed my teeth, putting on my pink pajama shorts and my white camisole. I trudged to bed, taking my hair out of the half ponytail and into a messy bun. As soon as I closed my eyes, my phone vibrated. I groaned and picked up my phone. It was a text from Prince. I did get hype, but I was too tired to even express it.
