Chapter 6

James's P.O.V

I looked up into the beautiful deep jade eyes of my mate, and everything else melted away. I gazed at her beautiful almond shaped eyes, framed by thick dark lashes, her hair a light cream against her chocolate hair. She had full, beautiful coral pink lips that glinted in the light and she radiated a pure, innocent power. I opened my mouth to speak, to talk to the goddess that is my mate, when I saw the light in her eyes die, replaced with fear, confusion and hate. I felt my heart shatter as my vision swimed with tears, and my wolf howled in anguish. Horror raced through my mind, will she reject me? Why does she not love me? I jumped up from the floor, my teeth already elongating into my wolf fangs, and I sprinted out of the room. I shifted as soon as I left the cave, my large paws hitting the ground and flying like the wind through the dark expanse of forest. I pushed, my vision tinged with red, how could she do this to us, to me! My wolf howled. I pushed harder, the wind flying through my shaggy, blond coat. I heard a twig snap behind me, and I turned around, a ferocious snarl rumbling from my chest. Kaetlynn stepped out, her gold fur glinted softly against the moonlight as she stepped towards me. I growled, no longer in control of my wolf, who wanted to take away the pain in our heart. Kaetlynn growled back, holding her head high, telling me to respect her as Alpha. I snarled again, snapping at her. Kaetlynn leaped at me, pinning me down. She growled, her teeth inches from my face. She wasn't in control of Kaera, her wolf, and I remembered what happened to her old pack.

Dont you ever disrespect me like this again James. If you do, I will kill you slowly. I am your Alpha, never treat me like this again, comprende James? Now tell me, what is wrong with you?

My....mate is....re-rejectning me I growled, causing a whole new wave of pain to unfurl over my heart

Who is she? Kaetlynn asked

The new girl, Aria I said, my wolf, Azzuen, whimpering at her name.

Kaetlynn looked at me in disbelief.

She is not rejected you, you idiot. she growled, She is confused. She was rejected by her mate, a littlewolf jackass and she dosen't know that greatwolves have two mate. She started crying as you ran out, she thinks that you are rejected her just like her old shitty ass mate. Now get your motherfuckin ass back to the kitchen and make things right with her! Is that understood?

I nodded weakly, her claws were tearing the skin of my shoulders.

Good, now go she said, releasing me

I ran back, joy flooding through my heart. She wasen't rejecting us! I ran into the kitchen, where I saw my mate sobbing in Bird's arms, with Simon rubbing her back and

My brother Jake standing dazed off to the side. He and saw me first.  His eyes were full of disbelief as I approached him. Simon was the next to see me, and he crouched over Aria, emitting a loud growl at me. I ignored him, but the power in his voice was raising my hair and was trying to command my wolf to bow down. I knelt down besides Aria, and turned her face towards mine, my rough dark-skinned hand cupping gently around her cheek. Her beautiful emerald eyes found mine and I felt sparks flying around my mind. Without thinking, I pressed my lips to hers, kissing her gently as millions of fireworks were shot through my veins, my mind, my soul. I pulled away, and looked into her magical eyes, where the tears had stopped flowing. I smiled gently, my thumb rubbing away a tear.

"I'm James," I said softly, pouring my love for this girl into those two words. She smiled, her beautiful coral pink lips revealing beautiful white teeth. She kissed me again, more passionate and searching, and when she pulled away, I was breathless.

"I'm Aria Willows," she said, "And I accept you as mate"

My wolf howled with joy and I beamed, my entire body flushing and radiating happiness.

"I accept you too, my beautiful beautiful Aria," I said, and the room cheered

Aria looked around stunned, she must have forgotten that they were there. I grinned, and pulled her into my arms, inhaling her delicate jasmine and lime scent. Kaetlynn stepped foreward, she had returned from her run and inclined her head to us.

"Congratulations Aria and James. Now, I hate to break up this moment but I have a few things I need to speak to you all about. As you have noticed, we have two new wolves among us, Aria Willows and Simon Aldair, former Fire Thorn wolves. I have offered them a place among our ranks and they have accepted my offer. On the next full moon, in one weeks time, we will welcome them in front of the Great Spirits." Cheers came from the people around us and Kaetlynn raised her hand for silence.

"Also, we have to deal with the Stone Peak issue. Through no fault of their own, Aria and Simon managed to kill six of their wolves, and they will be out for revenge. I will arrange a meeting with their tiny alpha to discuss settlement. I would like to take Haven, Alex, Simon and Aria so Jordan and Haven, make sure they can hold their own"

Jordan, a tall, dark skinned muscular guy with black dreads, brown eyes and a warrior tattoo nodded his head to Kaetlynn.

"And Bird, I want you following in the sky. I have a feeling that they are going to wanna fight."

"Of course Kaetlynn" Bird said

"Now off to bed, James show Aria to her room and then I want you back in your room pronto, kay? No mating until she becomes part of the pack"

I felt my cheeks blush fire red, and saw Aria doing the same.

"Yes Kaetlynn" I mumbled

"No off to bed. We have the hunt tomorrow"

Everyone shuffled out of the room, and a lifted Aria up bridal-style and carried her down to her room. I got to her door and put her down gently. She turned to me, smiling shyly.

"Thanks James"

"Your-your welcome love" I said

She smiled at my stutter and kissed me before spinning into her room. I sighed and walked to my room where my twin Jake was already asleep. I lay in my hammock, and drifted off to sleep, thinking of my beautiful, beautiful Aria.
