Epilogue

I lowered my head to his, kissing him one last time.

I felt a tingling, but ignored it.

"Ana?" Kate's voice whispered.

I looked up, tears in my eyes. Morgan and Octavia went to me, letting me cry in their arms.

I leaned over Aiden one last time, doing something the queen would have done to her dead husband.

I kissed his forehead and whispered, "May peace be with you."

At that moment, a single teardrop fell from my eyes, falling on Aiden's lips.

(Ana's POV)

I stood over him, crying. This would be the last time I would see him. The last time we would be together.

He wouldn't get to meet his child, but I knew he would be watching over us.

I heard a slight pounding as I watched my teardrop slip into his mouth.

Frowning, Morgan took a knife and held it under his nose.

A slight breath fogged up the blade.

"There's hope yet." Kate whispered.

(Not Ana's POV)

I heard a drop of water above me. Looking up, it fell on my mouth.

Instead of brushing it away, I licked my lips. The sweet taste surprised me.

It was almost as if it were a drop of sugar in liquid form.

Everything grew darker, but a single light shone above me. Looking up, it was almost as if I were in a dungeon. The pit of Hell. And that one light was taunting me.

But I was wrong. That light grew, driving away my darkness as I let it take me.

My blurred vision became clearer.

A face became clear.

~~~~~~~~~
"Aiden!!!"
I groaned, my sight becoming clearer every minute.
"Aiden!!!" The voice came again.
My head hurt. But it cleared as I saw a beautiful face come into view.
Her name was on the tip of my tongue, but I couldn't grasp it.
She smiled as she saw my vision clear and kissed me.
It tasted like sugar and I felt a strange shiver of strength go through me.
"Ana?" I asked.
"Aiden!!!" She said again.
I started to sit up. I was in my room, with my bed, with my Ana.
I looked around. The room looked clean, except for a broken window.
At first I was confused. Then I remembered.
The window was broken and Ana's arm was hurt.
I glanced over at her. She had a bandage under her tank top.
I frowned. There was more to the story than I remembered.
"You died." She said, answering my unspoken question.
"You brought me back." I said in realization.
She nodded.
Glancing out the window, I noticed it was late.
"What day is it?"
"You were out for weeks." She said.
I looked down, her stomach had grown.
She smiled, looking down at our unborn child.
I sat up and swung my feet of the bed, taking her arms and pulling her close.
"I love you." I whispered.
"I love you too."
I stood up and pulled on a pair of pants.
I noticed that there was a scar on my stomach, from where Victor cut me.
"Victor?" I asked.
She cringed. "Dead."
I nodded, and went back to the bed.
Pulling her with me, we walked downstairs.
Everyone was waiting at the bottom of the stairs.
Ana smiled at me, stepping next to me on the fourth stair.
"Welcome home."
