Stuck in Some Vampire Business?!!

Chapter 4

Recap: 

"So what do you guys want to eat? It's almost dinner." Kiara was going to the kitchen when Zero muttered those two words I dreaded Kiara to hear: 

"Your blood."

Chapter 4: Vampires 

(Kiara's POV) 

I was about to go to the kitchen when Zero muttered,"Your blood." These guys were actually bigger idiots than I thought. I can't help but burst out laughing. I caught a glance of Zane smiling nervously and Zero's face emotionless but tense. I sighed to gain control of myself, "You guys make me laugh." Zane seemed to sigh with relief and Zero seemed to relax. Zane stood up and walked over to me and patted me on the head, "Just don't mind Zero. He's just a big idiot." I nodded, giggling. I glanced at Zero, and when he saw me, he quickly flung his head to look at the window and avoid my gaze. I shrugged and proceeded to the kitchen.

(Zane's POV) 

As soon as Kiara was out of earshot, I glared at Zero. Zero saw me glaring and he nonchalantly shrugged and then turned to look outside. I advanced over to him. "You shouldn't have said that, Zero." Zero just looked outside, emotionless. I was about to say something when Zero cut in, "If we are staying with her, shouldn't you at least tell her what we really are?" Zero said in a monotonous tone. I was struck and just stayed silent. Zero turned his head to look at me, "Well?" He waited for an answer, but since I had no answer, he turned back to the window. An awkward silence followed and Kiara came in announcing dinner was served. Kiara tried to engage us into a conversation every once in a while but failed in all of her tries. Zero was the first one to finish eating and immediately got up and asked, "Where do we sleep?" in between gritted teeth. Kiara, being the good host that she was, immediately got up and ran ahead of Zero and muttered, "This way." timidly. Sigh...I got up as well and dragged myself to them. 

"Well, here it is. Do you guys want separate rooms or you guys stay in one room?" Kiara asked hospitably as we turned to a hallway with about 10 doors on each side of it. The answer is simple, "I think we'd rather stay in one room. Right, Zero?" I turned to my brother, and he simply nodded curtly then looked away with his arms crossed. Kiara nodded and then led us to the fifth room in the right and opened the door for us. We entered and it was a large room with wooden walls and two twin beds on each end othe room. There was a night desk in between the two beds and there were two phones, a night lamp, and a notepad and pen on the table. 

Suddenly, there was this strange sensation...as if someone was being--I quickly turned to Zero and, just as I expected, his eyes were crimson red just like the color of blood; his mouth was ajar and showed the fangs that grew when a vampire thirsts for blood. To my horror, Zero started towards Kiara. I grasped his arm, but Zero turned his head to me and glared at me. He whispered, "Let go of me, or else--" 

"Something wrong, guys?" Kiara was looking at us. Zero threw his look towards Kiara, and Kiara's eyes widened at the appearance of Zero. Her eyes fell on me, and I was speechless. 

(Kiara's POV) 

I turned around when no one said anything after I instructed them what to do. Just as I turned, I asked, "Something wrong, guys?" As I waited for a response, Zero turned to me and he had the most gruesome appearance: his eyes were crimson red just like the color of blood; his mouth was ajar and showed fangs. What in the world is happening?
