A/N: Yes it has been forever. Yes, I am also sad that Naruto has reached it's end. And yes, like many out there, I have my mixed feelings--some are nice and some not so nice lol. But just because it is over does not mean my fanfiction is xD This actually only makes me more determined than ever to reach certain points in my fanfiction and to continue to write events my way. That's what the joys of fanfiction writing are: You can make things happen how you, the writer, wants! :D

Just a final note though to all: I have not dropped any of my stories, so don't be upset. I write when I can for every fanfic of mine. You will see I post more often for certain titles *coughs* BB *coughs* >.> But that is mostly because of the levels of inspiration I have for the different stories. I think of it this way: If I'm forcing myself to write, then the feeling behind my creation won't be felt by the reader. Savvy? I'll have a Deidara moment now and tell you all that it is all a work of art and it has to have it's style ;)

Anyway, I'll end my short rant, or whatever you want to call it, and present to you the new chapter of Beauty is the Beast! XD

Thanks for reading!

WARNING: Violence and language ahead.

Chaos was at every corner of the village from that initial attack on the gates of Konoha. Civilians were rushing, children crying in their parents arms. Smoke billowed high as more sounds of explosions sounded, followed by the loud roars and hisses from the enemy summons. No one stopped to see if the enemy was at their heels, because they knew all too well. Like herds of prey, eyes wide, desperation in every step, the civilians rushed past one another. Their village’s shinobi that weren’t at the front lines fending off the enemy were aiding the villagers in their frantic rush to the many emergency underground bunkers located across the large village.

The order the Leaf shinobi had brought to the hordes of fleeing people shattered the moment giant slabs of earth fell from the sky, smashing homes, shops, and killing many people.

One of the shinobi cursed as they took to a rooftop to find the enemy’s summons were the ones responsible. Another rumble of the snakes’ bodies—heads lifted with another roar—and more lethal boulders were seen headed their way.

The shinobi called out in warning for all to hear. “Incoming!”

A flash of mixed hues of purple, pink, and gold rushed across the rooftop. “Howling Walls!”

The earth rose to meet the first of the falling boulders. Its structure forming as though wolves were leaping skyward and forming as one. The sound of the connecting walls of earth rumbled, sounding like a collective chorus of low rumbling howls. It held up against the first stray attack. The second, then third. It was beginning to crack and crumble, but held out until the very last hit. Kinu breathed a deep sigh of relief as she withdrew her jutsu and safely deconstructed the wall.

“Get the rest of the civilians out of the area! Make them move faster!” The brunette called to the rest of the squads below, before he nodded to the green-eyed woman. “Good save there.”

Kinu gave a nod of acknowledgement to the young man whom she recognized as someone from the Nara clan, given the clan symbol on his attire. “I’m afraid that trick isn’t something to rely on too many times,” She and the Nara man then looked down at the devastation the stray attacks from before had caused. A mad sounding roar echoed across the village, followed by even crazier laughter.
