Chapter 1

Summer’s POV

Lewis turned his body to face me, making my heart beat faster. “Are you sure you don’t mind baby?” he asked me. Again. He and my brother, Henry, were going clubbing tonight with some of their friends and I wasn’t old enough to get into clubs yet so I couldn’t go, not that I minded, he needed to spend time with his friends too. He’d been feeling guilty all day about it though.

I groaned loudly, “Ask one more time and I’m throwing you out of my house!” He chuckled and flashed me his trademark smirk. He knew I would too although my stupid brother would probably just let him back in.

“Alright, I’m sorry,” he said, holding his hands up. “I’ll shut up now.” He pressed his lips to mine, ending the conversation. I kissed him back hungrily and tangled my hands in his short black hair.

We had been together almost a year and I was so incredibly happy with him. He’s the perfect boyfriend, taking me out and buying me random little presents. I had liked him for about three years but I had no idea he felt the same, we wasted so much time liking each other from afar but we were definitely making up for that now.

I jumped up off the sofa, leaving Lewis and Henry playing the playstation, and went to have a shower and get dressed. I was only going to a gig at the local social club where my friend’s band was playing. Another reason why Lewis was overreacting about going out, I had my own night planned.

When I had finished getting dressed I started on my make-up. I didn’t like to wear a lot, there were loads of girls at my school that plastered it on and it made them look so fake. “Boo,” Lewis shouted, making me jump and scream. I closed my eyes and stood still for a minute while I waited for my heart rate return to normal, and for Lewis to stop laughing. “Sorry, couldn’t resist,” he said, trying to stop himself smiling but failing miserably. He eventually stopped chuckling when I glared at him. Suddenly he grabbed me and threw me on the bed, jumping on top of me but putting his hands out so he wouldn’t squish me.

I grabbed his shirt and pulled him down to me roughly, crashing my lips to his. He moaned quietly and ran his hand down the side of my body, giving me goosebumps all over. “Err Lewis? Can you get your tongue out of my sister’s mouth? We need to go,” Henry said, sounding disgusted but chuckling quietly.

Lewis groaned and shot Henry a look that could kill but got off me. “Are you sur-” I put my finger over his lips, silencing him before he could ask if I minded him going out again. He bit my finger gently making me giggle. “I’ll see you later baby.” He lightly brushed his lips against mine, making my tummy flutter. I loved the effect he had on me, he’s always been able to make my heart race and give me butterflies with just one look, I hoped that never changed.

Lewis would back here tonight, or rather tomorrow morning. No doubt it would be at four in the morning; he’ll be drunk and wake me up while trying to get into bed quietly. “Bye, love you,” I called as he was walking out of my room.

He turned to me with a huge, adorable smile on his face, “Love you too.” Henry pretended to gag and walked off muttering something under his breath. I rolled my eyes and kissed Lewis again before he left.

Jess, Ethan and Maria picked me up five minutes later and we headed to the social club. I was really looking forward to seeing the band play; I missed their last gig as my Mum had taken me on a girlie spa weekend with my Auntie and Cousin.

We all met up with a few of our other friends and after getting drink, they never ask for ID here so pretty much everyone get’s served and drunk. I’d only been drunk once and it wasn’t something I ever wanted to repeat again so I only ever had one or two alcoholic drinks at these things. Hangovers suck.

I weaved my way through the crowd with Jess to watch the band. Me and Jess danced until the band said they were stopping to take a break and I went outside to get some fresh air. The room was quite small for the amount of people that were there so it was really hot.

Two of the band members, Tom and Jack were already outside smoking. “Sum,” Jack shouted, nodding for me to go over to him.

I turned my nose up and shook my head. “Not until you give up,” I said, sticking my tongue out at him. That was one thing I really hated, smoking. It was gross and made your hair smell really bad.
