Author's Note: I think to make this easier for me I will be writing this in script format :) All feedback is appreciated and I will be picking up where the series left off (and trying to input as many references as I can) <3 xoxo, Kris (Follow on instagram @gilmoregirlsxo) <3 P.S. some references may be made ahead of their 'time'

At the train station, minutes until Rory is scheduled to leave

RORY: Mom, hurry!

LORELAI: (rushing into frame, Rory's suitcase trailing behind her) I'm hurrying!

RORY: Why is it we always are running late?? (frantic)

LORELAI: Don't worry, we'll make it!

RORY: I don't suppose we can make like a Kardashian and charter a private jet?

LORELAI: Fraid not, sweets.

Lorelai and Rory make it into the waiting area.

RORY: You know mom, you didn't need to come with.

LORELAI: (feigning shock) What do you mean? This is the classic mother-daughter moment. The sending you off to the train.

RORY: Okay, I didn't mean to minimize the moment.

The clock chimes 12.

LORELAI: What time does your train leave?

RORY: 12:15.

LORELAI: Yes! We did it. I should get a medal.

RORY: Pretending to place an order as we speak (sarcastically).

LORELAI: Well, I suppose we should. You know.

RORY: (sadly) We should.

LORELAI: Don't forget to sit in the back. Don't talk to strangers.

RORY: I know, mom.

LORELAI: I'm gonna miss you kid.

RORY: I'm gonna miss you too-

Lorelai pulls Rory into a hug.

RORY: Bye, Mom.

LORELAI: Call me the minute you get there.

RORY: I will. (Rory takes her suitcase from Lorelai, adjusts the duffle bag on her shoulder, and boards the train.)

Camera cuts to a closeup of Lorelai, who is holding in tears. Camera cuts a shot of Rory settling into a window seat in the back, then looking back to Lorelai.

Rory waves to Lorelai, who smiles and returns the wave. The train takes off and passes Lorelai up. The scene ends with Lorelai wiping tears from her eyes and it fades out.

~~Scene opens with a shot of Luke's Diner. Lorelai enters.

LUKE: Coffee?

LORELAI: I am beyond coffee. Got anything stronger?

LUKE: Like what?

LORELAI: A sweaty gym sock?

LUKE: No sorry, fresh out.

LORELAI: Ugh, don't worry about it.

LUKE: Rory just left, huh?

LORELAI: Yeah, and she's never coming back.

LUKE: She'll come back.

LORELAI: How do you know?

LUKE: She'll come back. (reassuring) If Obama loses, she'll be back by the end of the year.
