A massive thank you to Pulcher  for being amazing...(you know why  champion;)

A smile graces my face as I ride to school, why?

Well... apart from riding the most amazing horse ever, the wind in our hair as we bolt along the edge of the white water...

1) I have a million Mooves in a freezer. My fav ever drink in the world. Yum and a 'non-date' planned that will spin Noah out big time. Harry and Flea cracked up when I told them the plan. I mean come on, he can't just think he can send me some flowers and milk - and maybe punch his best mate in the face defending my good name- and we're all good. At least this little activity will tell me how serious he is about being friends. Nathan abhorred it.

2) Outlaw is still standing albeit giving me the evil eye whenever I walk past and not allowing me to pick up his hooves in clear in clear defiance for me getting him up. For a horse that is so damn skinny he is bloody strong. He is the most stubborn horse I've ever met. His feet need doing ASAP though, no matter what he thinks, his coronet band on his off hind looks like a rollercoaster track for ants and are longer than Nathan's huge boot. But one step at a time is something I have to remember with this right now. His feet can wait another day.

3) I got to ride Cherokee who was bursting at the seams for half an hour. If someone takes us down in any of the mounted games events, I'll be a monkey's uncle. The only foreseeable problem  is keeping him still enough for a team member to pass me the batten thingo. He practically spends the whole time on his hind legs doing little rears and prancing until Harry lowered the flag. I'll have to get some boots to support him though he takes off with more ompf than I can even imagine a racehorse doing. Whoever had been riding him seemed to be scared of his ready to go attitude, he is really pully  like Amber when she excitedly skitters around everywhere. It may be frightening to some people and I can understand why they might pull on the reins or up the ante on the bit, which appears to have happened in Cherokee's case. When I used a plain French Link snaffle I could tell that he was used to something stronger, bracing himself against the contact, ready for the pain. But still that horse can go! I love it! I love him!

4) A breakthrough with the minis. I sat in the small yard, for about twenty minutes, with the mini's reading aloud an old horse book of Harry's I found in the barrels. Interesting ideas for treating horses... poor buggers. I know we use a few bush tricks at home but hell, pouring some of the concoctions advised in that book on an open wound, would equate to a worse torture than even I could think up. I think I'll have to go find a bookshop and buy a new series. Frank wouldn't like me reading Harry Potter to anyone else.

Anyway the minis both came up and smelt me. The gelding, whom Flea reckoned I should call Mr Ruxtan because of his white forelock being bluntly cut, like the funny, old guy that used to be on Fast Forward, nicked off with my hat throwing it around and acting all tough. After a while they both accepted my touch. Nan always told me to blow in their nostrils first and then to touch them on the chest, like you see mare's do to their foals. Worked liked a charm with them.

5) Nathan sent me through a plan. I feel like I can breathe again after he orgainsed my time. Today, I've got: School... two hours... (he didn't even bother to put in homework), veteran's hostel dance practise one hour... to be honest I can't wait to see who will turn up for that. It is going to be a cracker if we can pull this idea off, every time I picture it in my head I start cracking up so hard I almost choke. I hope Terry partakes and Seth has to watch, I reckon his face will look like he's sucking on a lemon through the whole thing. I can't even imagine his Mum's face. She's going to kill me.

Then home to work on the farm, then tonight helping Sam out with the Divorce Club Ladies fitness program tonight. He put thow and a half hours for that with a comment 'who knows what you will end up making them do!'.
