apology at the end sorry babes

also, here's a recap in case all of you forgot bc I haven't updated in an eon

basically calum and carter were like all bae status over the summer but then when carter transfers to his school he's all like "whattt you were just a fling" yaknow to keep his uber popular status and then carters sass comes out and shes like da real mvp and shit and calls him out on his bullshit and blah blah blah (its just like grease thank you captain obvious)

so calum and carter are like enemies now but carter starts to become friends with all the other boys bc they're hella rad and she also starts hanging out with max castellion a cutie from calums soccer team and ofc calum gets jealous but wont admit it so he just acts like a dick all the time

also, there's this super sugar coated bitch, Amanda, who has a thing for calum even though he dont like her back, and she like invites carter into their little popular gang, the boys included, and she basically wants to ruin any remaining feelings between calum and carter bc she wants him to herself even though he'd rather sleep with bigfoot than her

then there's rebecca (my personal fave) who's like a party girl slut, but tbh she's the only even remotely genuine person in amanda's lil clique and she kinda likes carter even though according to amanda shes supposed to be plotting revenge on her

then there's jess, who's super rich like damn girl she owns like 3 bentleys, and there's stacy and macy, blonde twins who rule the gossip at the school

and yeah that's it hopefully I jogged your memory and if you still have to go back to look I tots understand and I'm v sorry yall probably h8 me

"Will you just jump in already?" Calum shouts from where he wades in the water, treading around as he waits for me to hop in.

"It looks too cold!" I call back from the shore, digging my toes into the cold sand of the beach and fiddling with the strings that hang from my bikini top.

For some unknown reason, Calum claimed that it would be a good idea to jump into freezing cold water at eight in the morning, claiming that it was more fun when no one is around, but frankly I'm not seeing the appeal currently. Sure, it was cool at the deserted beach, but it also means that I had to actually wake up before eight o'clock, which is something I vowed never to do when given the choice.

Yet here we are, me standing nervously on the shore, and Calum already diving into the water, without a seconds hesitation. We're the only ones on the beach and the only sounds come from the waves and the wind. It would be serene if I didn't have a hot boy yelling at me to jump into below freezing water. Not that I'm not enjoying the view though.

"It's fine, stop being a baby!" He laughed, trying to push his hair away from his forehead.

"I'm not being a baby, I'm being rational!" I yell back. I'm not really looking to die from hypothermia today. Thanks but no thanks.

"Oh c'mon, it's not even cold!" He dives under the water again just to prove his point. I can see the water ripple but when he resurfaces I won't deny that all I can focus on is his toned stomach and tanned skin.

"Well when you have hypothermia and I don't, we'll see who's laughing," I pout more, tracing outlines of shapes with my toes into the sand.

"You know, if you aren't in this water in two seconds, I'm going to have to come out and get you!" He threatens, already swimming closer to the shoreline.
